Town of Mashpee <br /> Conservation Commission <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> January 31, 2002 <br /> The Town of Mashpee Conservation Commission Meeting was <br /> called to order in Conference loom #3, Mashpee Town Hall, 1 <br /> Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, Massachusetts at 6 : 55 p.m. on <br /> Thursday, January 31, 2002 . The Chairman! John Fitzsimmons, <br /> presided. <br /> Commissioners present: John Fitzsimmons, Chairman; <br /> Stephanie Jones, Associate Member; Carole Moore; and Michael <br /> Talbot . <br /> Also present: Robert Sherman, Conservation Agent; and Diane <br /> Boretos, Assistant Conservation Agent. <br /> The Chairman declared a quorum to be present; designating <br /> the Associate Member, Stephanie Jones as a voting Member of this <br /> Meeting and called the Meeting to order. <br /> As the first order of business the Chairman asked for <br /> Public Comment - None. <br /> 1. Mr. Sherman urged the Commission to vote to irrevocably <br /> direct Town Counsel to begin Injunction proceedings against Mr. <br /> Halpern for long standing violations, which have not been <br /> addressed by M '. Halpern or hiS Legal. Counsel to date. <br /> After brief discussion of this matter, the Chairman <br /> entertained a motion be made. <br /> MOTION: Carole Moore made a Motion instructing the <br /> Conservation Agent to seek Injunction relief through 'Town Counsel <br /> regarding the Halpern violations; which Motion was seconded by <br /> Michael Talbot and so voted unanimously. <br /> 2 . Wind Chimes Deed - Mr. Sherman explained this current <br /> parcel of land being donated to the Town of Mashpee adjoins <br /> i <br /> existing conservation lands along the Mashpee River. <br /> Said Deed was thereupon signed by the Chairman of the <br /> i Commission and duly notarized by the Board secretary having <br /> established it was the free act and deed of the Commission to do <br /> SO. <br /> 7 ,000 L. Clarke Hill, 50 Poppones set island, coat inued from <br /> November 15, 2001. NOI <br /> Mr. Sherman reported Applicant has requested a further <br /> continuance in order to have lawn area surveyed, a portion of <br /> which is to be removed and nitrogen figures recalculated. <br />
