I <br /> I <br /> k <br /> i <br /> Town of Mashpee <br /> Conservation Commission <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> February 14, 2002 <br /> The Town of Mashpee Conservation Commission Meeting was <br /> called to order in Conference Room #3, mashpee Town hall, 1 <br /> Great Neck Road North, MashpeeMassachusetts at p.m. <br /> Thursday, February 14, 2002 . The Chairman, John Fit summons, <br /> presided. <br /> Commissioners present : John Fitzsimmons, Chairman; John <br /> Johansen, Clerk; Stephanie Jones, Associate Member; Carole Moore; <br /> Ralph Shaw; and Michael Talbot. <br /> Also present : Robert Sherman, Conservation Agent . <br /> The Chairman declared a quorum to be present and called the <br /> meeting to order. <br /> Public Comment - None. <br /> Non-Hearing Agenda - Old Business <br /> 1. willowbend - Mr. Sherman informed the Commission of a <br /> Staff Meeting scheduled in Lakeville at 10 :30 a.m. The Chairman <br /> suggested the Vote on whether or not to accept the minutes of the <br /> Willowbend January 24, 2002 Meeting be postponed to a latex date <br /> in order to provide the Commissioners sufficient time for review. <br /> oo Robert Flemming for vista pruning, replacement of deck, <br /> repair fence and plantings at 71. Buccaneer way, Assessors Neap 90, <br /> Block '7 . <br /> Michael Talbot stepped down in this matter. <br /> The Chairman recognized Stephanie Jones, representing her <br /> husband, Robert Flemming, who explained the entire lot falls under <br /> Conservation jurisdiction. <br /> Ms. Jones requested approval for vista pruning, 50 ft. , cut <br /> back at the top. The deck and fencing are in need of replacement <br /> as they have both deteriorated.. Post and rail construction is <br /> being proposed to allow wildlife passage. Request was also made <br /> for the removal of the barberry, honeysuckle, and bittersweet <br /> from the property; mitigation plantings of it err , viburnum, <br /> and blueberry. The above requests are being made in perpetuity. <br /> On behalf of the Assistant Agent, Mr. Sherman recommended <br /> approval, pending notification to Massachusetts National <br /> Heritage, and receipt of a DEP number. <br /> There being no Commission or public comment, the Chairman <br />
