i <br /> MASUPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION MEETING TES <br /> THURSDAY,JULY 259 2002 <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> Members Present: John Johansen, Elliot Rosenberg, Lon .rd J. Pina d, Stephanie Jones <br /> Also Present: Peggy Fantozzi, Diane Boretos, <br /> Vice Chairman Elliot Rosenberg opened the meeting at 6:55 p.m. <br /> Because here were only 3 regular members present, associate member Stephanie Jones will be <br /> appointed a full member for this meeting. <br /> Elliot made a motion to appoint Stephanie Jones as a full member for this evening's <br /> meeting. Len Pinaud seconded the motion. All members were in favor -0* <br /> Public Comment - here was none. <br /> Peggy had some public announcements. <br /> -request from Town Administrator to support a grant application by the Planning Dept to re- <br /> construct additional dunes at South Cape Beach(town beach). The project was started but did <br /> not continue all the way down the beach. <br /> Will they need Cons Com authorization to do the restoration worm`? <br /> Peggy explained the Commission can assist then in applying for the necessary permits, if and <br /> when appropriate. It needs an Order of Conditions. <br /> Elliot was concerned if the Commission does not review the plan now and the grant is based on <br /> that plan,what will happen if there is a problem with it` <br /> Peggy knows what they proposed to do, it is just an extension of what is there; it sounds very <br /> permutable. Con ni sion voted to support grant application. <br /> Board of Selectmen scheduled a meeting to discuss the Mashpee River dredging project on <br /> August 1 t 6:30. Conservation Commission is asked to attend. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> 7;00 James Codair, 5 Monomoscoy Ind west, Revocation of permit(cont, From 6113102) <br /> The applicant has requested, by nail, a continuance of the hearing to Aug. 22 at 7:05 p.m. <br /> Diane mentioned this has been continued several times. She asked that the motion to continue <br /> include a deadline for a decision to be made on Aug. 22nd. <br /> John made a motion to continue the Jaynes Codair hearing to Aug. 22nd at 7:05 -and <br /> a decision will be made by the Commission at that meeting. There will be no cher <br /> continuances. Len seconded the motion. All members were in favor - <br /> OAR ITEMS <br /> Diane explained the Health Agent has observed an illegal septic system installed in Lakeview <br /> Trailer Park. An enforcement-letter was issued for there to file an RDA for installing the septic <br /> system in a buffer zone.No action is required of the connission at this time. <br /> HEARINGS <br /> 7:05 Thomas &Bonnie Smith, 226 i lonomoseo Rd.
