They are now requesting to do <br /> less work than previously permitted-no garage and no second floor addition. The concern was <br /> the ability of the foundation to support work on the second story. Commission received <br /> professional opinion form an engineer saying the foundation is capable of supporting the work. <br /> Also received clarification of work they are not going to do. They will be shoring up the existing <br /> second story by hand with no heavy m ehinery necessary.. <br /> Staff recommend issuing amended order of conditions and close the hearing. <br /> Elliot stated, for the record, the Commission received a letter from Michelle C. Tudor, <br /> professional engineer and letter dated July 21 from Thous J. Bunker in connection with this <br /> issue. These items will be attached to the amended order. <br /> There was no public con ent. <br /> Stephanie made a motion to close the hearing and issue an amended order of <br /> conditions with requirement of a pre-construction meeting on site before any <br /> activity occurs. He presented plans to the Commission. <br /> This project is a proposal to repair/reconstruct an existing rventment. He presented a plan of the <br /> previous proposal. Now, they will pull back behind the mean high water line. Toe stones, which <br /> are covered in sand, have been added to the plan. This is a re-build of a reventrnent which has <br /> wiled two times. They Propose beach nourishment to protect the toe stones which will be 8 tons <br /> instead of the existing 2-3 tons. <br /> They have filed with IPA and Army Corp of Engineers and Chapter 91. <br /> There was a question as to what monumentation MHw should be used. Mr. Hayes Presented <br /> information for both Ppponet Island and Saconesset and tools the higher of the 2. <br /> He met with Grey Taylor, DPW,director and Perry Ellis, Harbormaster and has their <br /> authorization. <br /> Mr. Hayes reviewed with the members how the wall will be connect with the seawall next to it. <br /> Will not grout on surface, it will be clone on the secondary stones. <br /> Diane asked the date on the revised plan 7/22 or 7/24. 1t was determined the Conunission did not <br /> have the 7124 plans. <br /> Diane reviewed the details of 6onstruction with Mr. Hayes. <br /> 5 <br />
