I MASHPEE CONSERVATION ATIO COMMISSION Minutes of 22 August, 2002 Public Hearing Iashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 3 Commissioners present: John Fitzsimmons, Elliot Rosenberg, Ralph shave, Michael Talbot. Staff Present: Robert Sherman, Agent; Diane Boretos, Assistant Agent; Frances Wise, Board Secretary John Fitzsimmons, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. Public Comment: None. Ikon-Hearing Agenda Fie* Regulation ulation Changes. Bob Sherman reported that he hoped to have a regulatory package at the net meeting to be submitted the following meeting for adoption. Elliot said he would ld meet with Bob and Diane to discuss. Re: Rhodes "Bridge" at Red Mood Circle. Bob Sherman reported that we had a filing several months ago from Mr. Rhodes who was commencing cork shortly at Iced Wood Circle where he inherited a mess from the previous,owner of the property on the lashpee river and a lot of legal alterations. A planting plan was done but never followed up on. While there, Bob noticed something that had been there for some time, i.e. a ladder across the river to our land. This is on the west side of the Mashpee liver on his lend, where the local association in the neighborhood crosses the river up this plank to our conservation land. Bob thinks that even though we encourage use of conservation land by the public} private passage is not appropriate, as there's plenty of public access on the east side. Bob told Mr. Rhodes it must be removed. Elliot Rosenberg stated there are a couple of ewes with this respect. Motion made; seconded; and unanimously carried to notify Mr. Rhodes that the bridge is not proper and rust be removed. Other: Jack Fitzsimmons announced that the Board of selectmen approved the appointment of Frances valise as the Board secretary, and Ann White as the substitute Board secretary. Bob stated that a Public Notary is needed at the Board's meetings.
