i
p.m. Donald McIntyre, 184 Waterway. Dare Sainicki, cape & islands
Engineering, represented the applicant and presented the plan for an existing
5-
bedroom house with no septic system. To the rear of the house is a cess pool
underground, and to mitigate a -bedroom house, they not only have to put a septic
tank and pump chamber down below, but pump it up to the street. Getting heavy
egipent into the area would be impossible because of an 8 ft. retaining wall, so he's
proposing they use a plastic septic tank and a plastic pump chamber, which would
require small equipment
Diane asked why he can't put in new plumbing to accommodate the neer location of the
plastic tanks on the wayward side of the house. Mr. Sanicki said that would mean
disrupting finished basement rooms to accommodate new plumbing. Diane said he
needs to explain horn he's going to get machinery there to excavate for the new tanks,
because the deck goes to the property line and the pool !locks entryway from another
direction. She asked if he's going to bring in the machinery by barge, Ear. Sanicki said
he's made arrangements with a neighbor. Diane said then he's talking about clearing a
wooded lot, and in order to get a barge down there he's got trees in the way. lir.
Sanicki said there is an approved pian to take those trees down and build a new house,
and in the process of that he could ld make arrangements for envy from that
direction.
Diane sa*d she isn't comfortable with the plan for the installation of the tanks and with
the machinery to do the excavation. She suggested he put more thought into the plan*
Mr. Sanicki said he doesn't have any other pian other than to do it by hand. Jack
Fitzsimmons ons suggested approval of the pian subject to receipt of a revised plan
which states that the excavation will be done by hand unless applicant presents some
over solution for sane which is acceptable to the Commission's Assistant Agent.
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried for a Legative 2 Approval subject to
receipt of a revised plan as stated above.
i
7:10 p.m., Rick Brooks, 95 Pickerel Cove Road (continued from 9/19).
