i
comments. Elliot will meet with Bob next week to discuss further. The Regulations
Sub-Committee meeting will be postponed until January.
. Candidates for Commissioners. Jack reported that he tallied to John Miller today.
He's very busy roving his business and has a -month old child, and he'd like a few
more days to decide. Jack told him we had a few more people interested but we felt he
had the best qualifications because of his previous experience, and he said he can't
decide if he'd file to be-a full Commissioner or an Associate,, but it loops as though he's
going to take one or the other.
.hack said if John Miller wants to be a Commissioner, he'll call Cass Costa and Sandy
Hessler and tell them we'd like them to be Associates. if John decides he grants to be
an Associate, our nett choice is Cass Costa to be a full Commissioner. If Cass doesn't
want to be a full Commissioner, we'll offer it to Sandy. Bob mentioned Mr. Cross is also
interested in being on the Commission.
. Peggy Fantozi. Jack said he is still waiting for Peggy#s report. Bob said he gave
her Jack's message from the last meeting, and will follow up.
. Personnel. ,.
Bob commended Fran for the minutes,
approval for Pauline's hours to change from :3o a.m. to :30 p6m.fob asled for a ,
to 8:00 r a r.m. to :00 . . n the occasions when Bob will not be able to be there til
:30 .m., Pauline will stay later.
New Business
1. Negative Determinations. Bob reported that there have been some negative
determinations which have not been followed up on as he would have liked. He would
like to change our negative determination form under the by-law to include the
following: a sign-off, we have to meet for an on-site, 3 we need to be notified
upon corn letion, which really needs to be done because they don't require a
Certificate of t
Corn liance a statement that failure to do the above or failure to follow
Compliance,
the work plan description is dine cause for a Notice of intent and an enforcement action,
and a signature indicating all the standards have been met. Bob will write this up,
and it will require a vote at a Regulations Meeting.
Michael asked if it would be possible for some of the Commissioners to help with some
of the RDAs which are fairly simple and straight forward. Bob said that mould be very
helpful and also instructive. He said we probably have 350 or more Order of
Conditions which have never had a final inspection. He added we're 2nd in the Mate
for number of order of Conditions issued, and that 25% of the Certificates of
Compliance inspections reveal violations.
2
