MASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of March 2 , Zoo <br /> Public Hearing <br /> Mashpee Torn Hall Meeting Room 3 <br /> Commissioners present: Jack Fitzsimmons, Elliot Rosenberg, Cass Costa, <br /> Stephanie .Jones, Leonard Pinaud, Ralph Shag and Michael Talbot. <br /> staff present: Robert Sherman, Agent; Frances Wise, Board Secretary <br /> ,hack Fit simmons, Chairman, called the meeting to order at . p.m. <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Non-Hearing Agenda <br /> Old Business* <br /> 1. Bob recommended approval of the following- <br /> RFAA-4 o Nathan Ellis Highway <br /> FAA-S E 43-2146 <br /> FA -SE 3-2159 <br /> Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to approve RFAA-4 o Nathan Ellis <br /> Highway; F FAA-SE 43-2146; and RFAA-SE 43-2159. <br /> 2. Bob distributed to the members an article entitled "Voting When ou Have Not <br /> Attended All Parts of a Hearing,} which says that everyone voting must have been <br /> present at all the previous bearings. Jack said he doesn't accept that, rather he agrees <br /> with the previous opinion which said to go ahead and vote, and if a party doesn't like it, <br /> they can appeal and the hearings will start all over. Elliot said under the local by-law, <br /> the Commission is the final authority because it can only go to court from there. There <br /> will be further discussion at the net meeting. <br /> 3. URS. Bob said we had previously authorized another $650-$700 for URS's service <br /> for extra survey and engineering work. Bob has noir asked thea to help us on the <br /> selection of the bidders for rebuilding the Quashnet River fish ladder and water control <br /> structure, which will probably cost another $600 or $700. We have over $25,000 in our <br /> Maintenance and Improvement Fuad, so he requested authorization to mise the fee to <br /> $1,500 total if necessary. It's Air Force money that will be paling for this. <br /> Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to approve an additional $650-$700 <br /> payment to URS for a total additional fee of$1,500. <br /> i <br />
