predicted, and the Air Force has told us if they find something that would cause a risk,
they would take action to mitigate it.
Bob asked if they are cognizant that to get the new system up full-scale they will still
e us a lot of work in terms of wetland impacts. He said that part of the Amended
Order for the increase in the infrastructure of the treatment system was a specific
condition that before any full-scale test pumping starts, they have to give us
background data and analyze thresholds for pumping that won't impact adjacent
wetlands. Bob said they have not contacted him or given any indication that they are
working on this, and he hopes they don't leave it until the last minute.
New Business
. Bob reported that he had a call recently from Cotuit Bay condos that one of their
tenants was cutting down a tree on the coastal bank after they had been told not to.
They gave Bob the name of the person and he asked the members to ratify a $10o fine
he issued to the perpetrator.
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to ratify the $100 fine to this
perpetrator.
2. Dumping on Grafton Pocknett Road on John's Pond parking area. Bob said he has
the name of the perpetrator, he spoke to Glen Harrington since it is a Board of Health
violation, and Bob recommended that we follow what the Board of Health does, which i
to issue a Soo fine and require that he pick up the refuse.
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to issue a $300 fine to this
perpetrator and require him to pick up the refuse.
3. Fee schedule. Bob recommended that we hold a public hearing at our next meeting
to enact the fee schedule. It was agreed to schedule this hearing for April 10, 2003 at
6:45 p.m.
. Approval of Minutes.
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to approve the Minutes of February
, February 27, and March 13.
5. ,lack asked if Peggy Fantozzi is still active in dealing with AFCEE. Bob said yes,
and she's drafted a letter answering questions posed by Robert Gill saying our intent is
to continue using the bogs for an indeterminate future, because part of the funding for
the John's Pond Park is from self help funds. Bob v ll run the letter by Elliot.
L
