Ms. cafFyn said a lot of the cutting was done before there was any septic system -
much more extensive than ghat she would think would have been needed. Bob said
there's a good chance he will have do some restoration.
Non-Hearin ends
Old Business:
1. Policy on jet-ski ramps. Bob said once again we have a proliferation of illegal jet-
ski floats. He cited one on Popponesset Island where the owner wants to file for it. He
has three docks which have been previously approved, and he has added three jet-ski
attachments. our standards now are 150 sq. ft. limits, and this request would go above
that. Bob said he has the right to file, but he grants to reiterate to the oyer that based
on past precedent, it will be denied. All agreed.
2. coo fee policy. Bob said there have been a number of c c's for the same person
-- in one case four. Do we charge therm four tires? Bob has been told by the Torn
Administrator that because of the Town's present fiscal situation, we should maximize
fees and treat each inspection as a separate act.
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to require a fee for a certificate of
Compliance for each filing.
3. Nol assistance policy. Bob said he gets requests for help in filing Nl's, and if they
are not assisted, it becomes completely chaotic. Replacement of the Assistant Agent Is
still in legal abeyance, so he is gray behind in everything. He recommends that he put
priorities on administering current permits, enforcement, and resource protection; and
other than helping people out on fees and nuts and bolts questions, vire don't give NI
assistance. Michael suggested vire refer them to the yellow pages for engineers who
can help them.
. Request for an administrative approval. An owner wants to put his driveway in a
different place. Bob asked if we want an amended order for something that simple.
Michael said it looks like they want to add some driveway, and Bob agreed that was so.
Bob said most of our administrative approvals relate to changing the shape of a house
a fever feet. Elliot thinks we need a new plea and that requires an amended order.
Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried that this driveway change requires a
new plan and an amended order.
. Halpern case. Bob said Mr. Halpern still has not submitted anything. Torn counsel
contacted his lawyer, and his lawyer has not returned Town counsel's calls or Bob's
call. Arlene Wilson told Bob Cast Friday that she would have a neer plan to us on
Monday reflecting what Mike and he had asked for, and that has not arrived. Bob
