MASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of October 2, 2003 <br /> Public Hearing <br /> Mas pee Town Hall Meeting Room 1 <br /> Commissioners present: Jack Fitzsimmons, Elliot Rosenberg, Cass Costra, Stephanie Jones, <br /> Leonard P na d, Ralph Shaw and Michael Talbot. <br /> Staff present: Robert Sherman, Agent, Frances Wise, Board Secretary <br /> ,hack Fitzsimmons, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. <br /> Public Hearing; none. <br /> lore-Hearin .. d a <br /> Old Business; <br /> 1. RFAA: SE 43-2130 - Great River South. Bob said that this is a change in a plan to add 2 ft. t <br /> an existing deck, they have agreed to do some additional vegetating, and he recommended <br /> approval. <br /> Motion made, seconded and unan'rnously carried to approve this request for an adn nistrative <br /> approval. <br /> 2. RFAA: SE 43-2146. Bob said this is to add a stairway, and he recommended approval. <br /> Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to approve this request for ars administrative <br /> approval. <br /> 3. Assistant Conservation Agent position. Elliot reported that the intreving panel agreed that <br /> Lori Soucy is eminently qualified to fill this part-time, temporary position. <br /> Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to recommend to the Board of Selectmen the <br /> hiring of Lori Soucy to fel the part-time, temporary position of Assistant Conservation Agent. <br /> 4. FS-1 ongoing erosion control measures. Bob said that Jacobs Engineering, who is in charge <br /> of the FS-1 cleanup of the bogs, has been working under an order of Conditions which gives u <br /> the right to fine tune erosion control on a continuing basis. He said they are doing a very good <br /> job and have presented us with a new plan enumerating future projects. No action needs to be <br /> taken. The new plant <br />
