Bob said this involved an amended order when a paved driveway was put in over the roots of a beautiful, large, specimen beech tree. we were concerned at that time, so we added a condition in the amended order that an inspection would be carried out t assess the impact on the tree and stating that:the Concession at its discretion may require nutig Live measures. Bob said the tree is dying and he and Michael will meet at the site and decide ghat the revegetation plan should be. He also recommended that we issue more specific regWations regarding specimen trees. 1Z . Great Hay Road widening. Bob distributed to the members copies of a letter from wagoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve dated September 12, 2003 expressing heir concern regarding this issue. Where will be a meeting to discuss this situation on October 8 ', which hopefally will preclude it from happening again. Attending the meeting will be Bob, l chael Talbot, Greg Taylor, Chuck Green, Joyce Mason,ason, and the people from VVBNER. 7. Porthole Road violation. Bob said we haven't been able to deternne who cut down a lot of gees, some of there large ones, on our land. The project is larger than we thought, so Ace Arborc It re's fee will be $400 instead of$300, which Bob thins is still very reasonable. Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to authorize the expenditure of$400 to clean p this site. . Elliot Rosenberg formally announced that reluctantly he will be resigning from the Commission effective November l . All expressed their regrets. Bob said the landscapers have been fined for cutting Without a permit. Sconce we are being televisedir he thins it important to indicate that landscapers have the responsibility to cheek to see that all landscaping permits are in order before proceeding with any work. Enforcement --John"s Pond. Bob said the Environmental Force gave hire the name of a young gentlemen who circumnavigated John's Pond in his car until he drove into the water.
