Mme Fisheries Service had sent itsa letter of concerns and/or recommendations for the <br /> existing pier. Rick York(Mashpee SheRfish warden) submitted a letter stating his <br /> approval of the existing pier. The agent recommended approval. <br /> Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to Close and Issue <br /> 7:0p.m. Town of Mashpee DPW, Quinaquisset Avenue(Drainage improvement in <br /> right of y-NO <br /> Norm Hayes SC Group)represented the appiRcantand described the project. The <br /> project involves the replacement of 3 old drainage systems with new bio-retention <br /> systems along Quw* aqwssett Avenue. Additionally, accumulated road runoff sediments <br /> wil be removed from a previously ext'sting wetland in the 1ashpe River Woodlands <br /> Conservation Area which Res just below grade of an old storm drainage area. The agent <br /> inquired as to the methodology for removal of sedimentsfrom the area and Mr. Hayes <br /> told the agent most of the removal would be done by hand; however some removal by <br /> machine may be necessary and all necessary precautions will be taken to ensure a <br /> rainimum amount of disturbance to the existing vegetation. The project calls for the placement of approximately 20 yards of sand on to <br /> North Cove Beach at John"s Pond, The agent conditioned that the sand is to be clean <br /> and grain size compatible. The sand is to be purchased from P.A. Landers. The footprint is to be increased slightly from <br /> what is existing. The agent asked about existing vegetation in the backyard facing the <br /> water that was not shown on the engineered playa. According to the plan, a patio is to be <br /> enlarged from its current footprint and this would necessitate the substantial removal of <br /> existing vegetation. Because neither the vegetation nor any mitigation measures or <br /> Landscape plan was shown or submitted, the agent recd tended a continuance until the i <br /> aforementioned information is subaitted in accordance with the requirements for Notices <br /> of-Intent.
