Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried for a continuance until 0210712008 a@ 7:15 p.m. <br /> 7:21 p.m. Patricia Bell Rev Tr and Paul Hanlon, fol—45 and 51 P pp ness tt island Road <br /> (Maintenance dredging, beech nourishment and maintenance of stone revetment <br /> (Cass Costa recuses herself) <br /> Norman Hayes stood to represent the applicant. He described the applicant's wish to perforin some <br /> dredging (with a I ' cubic yard bucket) and beach nourishment as well as some maintenance to the <br /> existing stone revetment. M r. Hayes gave the history-of the area stating that the-area is ma made <br /> lagoons and were dredged out of uplands. The bulkhead will not be changed but repaired in kind and the <br /> dredging will be kept at least 8 ft off from it to not jeopardize its integrity. Mr. Hayes explained that he has <br /> filed with MESA, the Arany Corps and for a Water Quality surrey. Mr. Hayes pointed out on his plan that <br /> there are three options they are considering for access to the area. The best option or option 2 involves <br /> use of MIs. Sherry lkinson's property and that they have not heard back from her in regards to the <br /> matter. The Agent asked if Mr. Hayes had researched whether the area he would be making "beaches" <br /> were allowed to b . 11r. Hayes stated that he did not. The Agent explained that he would creed to look <br /> into that before anything could be decided on in regards to the beach nourishment. He would like to see <br /> vegetation or something with more environmental value installed. The Agent will be reviewing past filings <br /> in the area. He also asked Mr. Mayes whether there will be any float realignment, Mr. Hayes said that it <br /> would be minor if any but that he would confer with the applicant regarding the matter. The Commission <br /> questioned whether there were any responses back from MESA or the Army corps. Mr. Hayes explained <br /> that there were no responses yet and requested a continuance for a month to ensure he had therm at the <br /> next hearing. <br /> Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried for a continuance until 02/2112005 @ 7:03 p.m. <br /> 7:24 p.m. IVIC Massachusetts Nominee Trust, RDA—202 Daniels Island Road <br /> (Remove five house walls and replace breakfast nook with deck) <br /> John Slavinsky of Cape and Islands Engineering stood to represent the applicant. He described the <br /> applicant's wish to remove fine house walls and replace the breakfast nook with decking. The deck will be <br /> pushed further back into the house where the nook currently sits. The Agent saw no real impact.to the <br /> area and recommended a negative determination. Mr. Slavinsky did also provide the Commissioners with <br /> pictures of the project for review. <br /> Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried for a Negative Determination. <br /> 7:27 p.m. John and .Janet Hayden, NOI—26 cross Tree Way <br /> Construct and maintain in perpetuity a wooden bulkhead to replace deteriorating existing stone <br /> armament and.t o'wide revegetated buffer) <br /> John Slavinsky of cape and Islands Engineering stood to represent the applicant. He described the <br /> applicant's wish to replace their failing stone armament with a wooden bulkhead with maintenance in <br /> perpetuity. The project will also include revegetating a 10'wide buffer area. Mr. Slavinsky provided the <br /> Commission with pictures of the current armament further illustrating its deteriorating condition. Mr. <br /> Slavinsky and the Agent agreed that this is the least invasive way to accomplish the project. The <br /> Commission did request that the Virginia Creeper be eliminated from the landscape list and conditioned <br /> that they need to receive a detailed plan with the numbers of each plant that will be used. <br /> Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to close and Issue subject to the receipt of a detailed <br /> landscape plan. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 8:22 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Melissa Brown <br /> Board Secretary <br /> 4 <br /> i - <br />
