e � <br /> 35 are in poor condition. The results of the tests at the bogs are that the berries are clean and <br /> there are only tree amounts of EDB (Ethylene Dibromide) in the K6 bog water itself. He <br /> mentioned that there is a need to provide protection around the bubblers in the Quashnet bogs <br /> and that vwrouId be included as part of the management plan. Mr. Bottomly also explained that the • <br /> bevies could be certified organic and depending whether that does occur would determine price <br /> point. The berries then could be distributed both locally and internationally for the Town. The bogs <br /> have already been visited by an Arborist, Nater Quality Specialist, and a Botanist so far with I r. <br /> ottornly to research their idemIl.Another priority to r. ottomly's company would be the <br /> restoration of the bogs for recreational use and beauty. He also mentioned that he felt that fish. <br /> and cranberries could be done successfully with paper cooperation between companies. He <br /> stated that he would like to meet with the Commission and the Fish and Game Warden to discuss <br /> working together. lir. Bottomly informed the Commission abet the current situation in the Garner <br /> Farley bogs as well. He explained that he has been faithfully monitoring those bags ander a <br /> management plan with the Town. The management plan expires in March, and he would like to <br /> continue to work there and get the 2008 caps. The bogs are in fairly good condition, but a strip <br /> near the end needs to be replanted. The company would like to go forward as quickly as possible <br /> and Mr. Bottomly asked what could be done legally now. The Agent and Commission thanked Mr. <br /> ottomly for his information and stated that they would be contacting Joyce Mason and discussing <br /> it as a group further to come up with a plan of action. The Agent did mention the creation of a <br /> R.F.P as he had discussed previously with Mr. Bottomly. The Agent explained that the f .RP <br /> would open the project up to bidders, but IIIb`. Bottomly said he would still go forward regardless of <br /> how they had to apply. <br /> 5) Approve Meeting Minutes from 02/07/2008. <br /> Lotion made,seconded and unanimously carried to approve the minutes of 02/07/2008. <br /> Geo-Chasing <br /> The Assistant Agent m ntioned that the Conservation vation Office had been contacted by the Geon <br /> Chasers in the area.They asked if it was okay if they hide some of their treasures on some of the <br /> l lashpee Conservation land. The Commission and Agents agreed that it was fine for therm to do <br /> so. The Agent agreed to ask them to clean up the areas if possible and report any findings as well. <br /> Hearing Agenda <br /> :00 p.m. George l andalos, Idol—22 cross Free Way(Continued from 02107/2008) <br /> The applicants requested a continuance until 0312012008 a@ 7:18 p.m. The Agent explained that upon <br /> further review of the project he discovered a need for the applicant to file with Natural Heritage.e. He <br /> explained that the applicant has done so, and they are awaiting the comments from Natural Heritage. The <br /> Commissioners did state that this is the fourth continuance request. The Agent acknowledged that fact <br /> and stated that once the Natural Heritage comments are back, all the applicant will have to do is bring the <br /> proof in, and the Commission should be able to close and issue on this matter. The Agent did feel that the <br /> continuance is warranted ander the circumstances. <br /> Motion crude, seconded and unanimously carried for a continuance until 03120/2008 @ 7:18 p.m. <br /> 7:03 p.m. Michael 0"Hara and Joseph Levy RDA—76 and 82 Greensward Road <br /> (Landscaping) <br /> The Agent ecplaied that this filing was due to a call from a party at New Seabury Properties. The eller <br /> stated that there was a landscape company working on the space between these two houses/properties. <br /> The Agent informed the Commission that he did perform ars onsite and issued a stop worts order to the <br /> landscape company. The company will be in to present a landscape plan for the relandscaping of the <br /> area between the two houses. The company did request a continuance until 03120108 @ 7:12 p.m. as <br /> they were unable to get the plan together in time. <br /> Motion made,,seconded and unanimously carried for a continuance until 0312012008 @ 7:12 p.m. <br /> 2 <br />
