Conservation Commission <br /> Minutes of February 23, 201 <br /> Public Hearings <br /> Mashpee Town Half - Conference Evora <br /> Commissioners: Lloyd Allen, Brad Sweet, John Rogers and Steve Cook <br /> Staff Present: Dreg McManus (Conservation Agent) and Kris Carpenter(Administrative Secretary) <br /> Cell Meeting To order: 6:55 p <br /> The meeting was called to order with a quorum by Commissioner Allen at 6:55 pry. <br /> There was no public comment. <br /> Pre/Post Hearing Agenda: <br /> 1 Minutes: Approval of the following minutes: N/A <br /> 2 Town Solarbee Project for Santuit Pond: Recommended ommended F DA filing —Agent McManus explains <br /> than this project was briefly discussed at the last meeting to get a filing determination <br /> recommendation and there was not a consensus reached at than time. When an agent is unsure <br /> of the determination,n, it is recommended to the applicant than an RDA be filed so that the <br /> Commissioners can make a formal decision on the type of permitting than will be required. <br /> 3) Mass Fish & Wildlife NEC Proms: Filing update and review of conditions; The New England <br /> Cottontail project—The Agent is gaiting for a more detailed,narrative from Mr. Saritti that will <br /> include a clearing methodology for work within the 100 ft buffer to any wetland areas. The Agent <br /> will send the conditions to all the Commissioners for review. Mr. Sweet suggests using <br /> opportunities to educate the community by publishing; possibly with the Enterprise and some <br /> other places. <br /> 4) Arneri orp l date: Herring run walks - February 27th at :3 -9:o am - The Agent will be <br /> meeting with volunteers from Ameri orp to walk the upper reaches of the I la hp a and Quashnet <br /> Fivers. They will be performing some vegetation clearings along the I a hpee herring run and it <br /> was also suggested to scatter brush piles over ATI!trails. <br /> HEARINGS <br /> INGS <br /> 7:00 Karen Scott (750 Cotuit Toad) Permit/renew existing Chapter 91 licensed dock - RDA <br /> - <br /> Resource Area: Land-Leer Water!Fond front MeeelWekey <br /> Material submitted: Plan View Existing Dock 2002 Owner <br /> [9:54] T1s. Scott explains that she is looking to renew her Chapter 91 license for an existing doh . <br /> Agent McManus states that Chapter 91 has requested permitting from the local Conservation dept <br /> for license renewals. The Agent explains that the Harbormaster is now requiring address <br /> identification displayed on each section of the dock. Mr. Cook asks about the location of storage <br /> during off season and the Agent responds that it is placed on the beach in a sandy area. <br /> Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried for a Negative Determination . <br /> 1 <br />
