Ma tepee conservation Commission <br /> Minutes of February 18, 2010 <br /> Public Hearings <br /> Iashpee Tran Halt <br /> Commissioners: Lloyd Allen, Jeffrey cross, Brad sweet, and hark Gurnee <br /> Staff Present: Drew McManus (conservation Agent) and Cris Carpenter (Administrative <br /> Secretary) <br /> The meeting was ca[led to order with a quorum by commis ion r Allen at 6:55 pm <br /> There was no public comment. <br /> Pre/Post H e ri n a Ase n d <br /> 1 Approval of Minutes from 1!2111 <br /> Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried to approve the minutes of 1121/10. <br /> 2 Town of Mashpee 5 Year open space & Recreation n Plan: 2 yr extension for years 6 &7) <br /> The purpose of developing a plan like thi.s is to show how the Town looks to manage existing <br /> open space and recreation facilities as well as inventory our natural resources. The plan also <br /> lists potential land acquisitions throughout the 7 year window. The Mass State.Executive office <br /> of Environmental Affairs (EDEA) added an additional 2 years to open space plans and as a <br /> result, the Town Planner and Conservation Agent carne up with a list of potential parcel <br /> acquisitions for years 6 & 7. Open Space and lec Flans are necessary in order to apply for <br /> state self help grant funds for land acquisition. The agent requested the endorsement of the <br /> Chairman for land acquisitions listed in years 6 &7 of the plan. <br /> 3 Administrative Approval for 401 Monomoscoy Road SE 43-2531); construct driveway <br /> and parkfn+g area and also a ' path connecting parking area to approved pathway. <br /> John Slavinski from Cape & Islands Engineering is representing the homeowner. Agent <br /> McManus explains that this lot was approved for a single family home approximately ar year ago <br /> and at that time, there were issues regarding the setback from the salt marsh and whether or <br /> not a coastal bank was present on the parcel. An outside consultant was hired under - 3G to <br /> verify the presence of a coastal hank for the purposes of determining petbacks in land subject to <br /> coastal storm floury. No coastal bank was found in the official determination. currently, the lot is <br /> still not cleared and they would lice to provide a pathway to a dock and pier that has already <br /> been constructed. Mr. Slavinsl i states that they are using the same enact driveway location <br /> and all clearing will be within the previously approved work limit Two parking spaces will be <br /> created and a ' walkway to the a fisting dock as per the original plan of record. Agent <br /> McManus states to Mr. Slavinski that he will meed to place another SE number on the side of the <br /> fined pier and to stake out the pathway for inspection. <br /> Lotion made, seconded and unanimously carried to approve the Administrative Request of <br /> SE 43-2531. <br />
