i <br /> r <br /> 4) Trustees of Reservation MOU (revised) <br /> Agent McManus explains that this Memorandum of Understanding was carried over from the <br /> previous meeting and he had Steve Niccolle from the Trustees of Reservation the revision that <br /> was discussed at the last meeting. The amendment would include modifications to the parking <br /> lot and the trail leading down to the Trustees' parcel. currently: the MOU states that both <br /> organizations will endeavor to maintain the parking lot and the Trustees will pay for and <br /> construct a kiosk which will be supplied with trail maps. Mr. Niccolie has sent a copy adding a <br /> stipulation that-both organizations will design- and construct a path that will allow for safe <br /> passage from the town parking lot, across conservation lands and into the Trustees parcel <br /> 5) Updates: <br /> i <br /> 0 cape CodWater r F esources Restoration Projects rnailsent —Agent McManus had <br /> forwarded correspondence between himself, Dick York and Joyce Mason regarding the <br /> Cape cod Water Restoration grant money that has been received for"shovel ready <br /> projects. Mr. York has taken the lead and created a list of projects that he has prioritized; <br /> two top priorities are the Santuit Pond Dari and Johns Pond Dani. The Santuit Pond Darn <br /> is currently undergoing phase inspections per the Mass office of Dares Safety and is showing <br /> the most evidence of undermining and seepage. Johns Pond Darn has embankments that <br /> are extremely steep and erosion is a serious concern in the.upper and lower portions of the <br /> stream. <br /> It was recommended that a representative from Waterways come in for discussion on how <br /> to obtain information regarding grants from the state for conservation issues/repairs. <br /> Herring Run Clear.lJp: —Agent McManus attended a meeting with the Wampanoag Tribe <br /> and their Natural Resources,Committee to outline the plan for a multi-river cleanup to clear <br /> debris that might interfere with the Herring passage.
