They will manage and grade a drain s gale in the backyard and use a conservation <br /> mix to ever certain areas. Mr. Maffei states that they will retain the grade with boulders on the <br /> sides of the house and to re a etate those areas. The Agent wanted to point out that the existing <br /> pathway needs to be ' and asks Mr. Maffei if they could revegetate that area to bring it back to 4 . <br /> Also, there' were kayaks being stored on low growing shrubs and he asks that they be removed. <br /> Mr. Allen recommends berry producing shrubs. <br /> Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried for a Legative Determination <br /> 4Update on Santuit Pond Dam' —The Sarntuit Pond Dara is in a state of failure where seepage is <br /> occurring under the darn and has been for the last year. The engineers, Weston n & Samson, have <br /> completed 25% of their engineered plans which show a proposal tore-grade the stretch between <br /> the main darn and the auxiliary (about 100') and then to replant with grass and install a rip-rep on <br /> the pond side. The fish ladder will be replaced with hard grade aluminum. The darn will be <br /> reinforced with concrete. The entire project will be permitted to begin by the end of October; once <br /> the herring fry leave the pond. They will be taking a lock at the berms alongside the river because <br /> approximately 3 creeks ago, the berm was undermined and opened a connection from the river <br /> into the bog which hundreds of herring got through. The Agent had to open all the culverts t <br /> each bog to allow passage back. He is concerned about other areas that will soon be failing and <br />
