Mr. La, continues "At that time I told him (reference, Mr. 'Neill .
thought the $4000,, was a. little overboard."
i
MLTs. O'Neill attempts here to correct Mr. Lapio's statement regarding the cost.
T. .; "It's your understanding that it was- $4o o., I understand that."
Mr. Lapio: "That was my understanding, and that $1500. to $2000. was more like
it tout another fait in never physicallyie ped the property. I dict recom-
rend Ace Cess ool Cleaning to go out and clean the pool, and T then I didn't
hear anytrzinrr until, as far as my memory is correct, he called me from Florida.,
and told ane they were going to close him down and I told him to get in touch
with an Attorney, that would be any best advice at the time, and up until now
I'm a stranger. I've never been over there,I'm just a person on Cape with a
stranger on Cape, tried to recommend the best thing I could for him."
Mrs. 0 1 Ne 111: " fir. Lapio, I believe I took that proposal., that first letter that
e got from the Board saying they were goingto close us down, over to your house,
because we were absolutely hysterical, my daughter and I had no place to go, we
thought that we had, may husband was in Florida, and I was I tbyi ng to sell a busi-
ness, Tom was in school, and I got this letter saying we had to be out of this
place . . . . . . . . ,
Mr. Lapio: "That Is right,, and your husba.nd called me the D911ow ng night and
I told him he should contact a lawyer, he did I guess, because there was a law-
yer calling my house some attorney was calling my house."
Mrs. O'Neill:: "I took the proposal over to you because we had never had a sep-
tic system before and because we felt you knew Ms. Lynch, she was the former ow-
ner, she had worked for you,, and we called Mrs,, Lynch, after my husband spoke r
with you, to find out if there had been a problem, Mrs. Lynch said she had no
problem. She suggested we call Mr. Moni , she had always-used him and she had
been very pleased., and so this is what we did.,so then and at that time my hus-
band said to you, If we have a, problem, I would lie you to be responsible to do
the work on it 'because your Familiar with the property, and then this is why
hand delivered the letter to you, askingt;.r.what you could do. you called a few
days later and asked that we pick it up and I did go over to his home and pick
it up which was left outside of the house. we really needed help and we didn't
know where to turn."
Mr. Lapio: "That's right and I told your husband at this stage of the game, held
better get an attorney because they were going to tag your house."
T.C. : "Mrs. o 1 leill, I notice that the B records indicate that since
last summer you were having some problems with it
T.C.: 'Yes ir."
Mr. O'Neill: "I think we could save a, lot of problems here if I could just read
a prepared text that I made."
