ti Excerpt from March 4 , 1985 meeting James Curtis, Donald Hecht, Realtors Curtis: The State } ind.a says on our' licenses- that- we have to kinda nro- tect the buyers and the sellers, and the new variance , I guess ghat we would like to see is some- kind, of directive or proceeduke , or whatever, in writing that we can give to buyers and sellers when we ' re advising then of the variance and how it may affect their property. The problem seems to be that we all -have a different understanding of it. Now, I talked to Mr. Tall_ent and the way I understood it was to get a variance, or to get it considered it was that we had to have complete engineering done in terrors of the proposed septic system or whatever, so we'd he talking 600 to 1200 dollars depending whether the engineers had to go out with metal detectors or. . . . . . Lawrence.: Are you talking certain developments Curtis: No, I 'm talking all different, right now for example . . . . Lawrence: If you're talking developments, you would come in with a master plan. Curtis: That we understand. Lawrence: If we get 112 feet or 115 feet we want it, if we can get 150 ' we ' re even happier, but we will gave youvariances from 100 to 150 I 'r trying to keep this. . .everybody tries to put. too much. into it and - that' s the problem. You got 150 feet you can put your well 150 ' from your septic on that lot and not interfere with anybody ly else ' s and your 150 ' from every- dobody else ' s I 'm happy. If you' re 112 ' here and 115 ' here, wel.11. still give you variances, as lonq as you' re staying 100 -or above but if I can get that extra footage in there, that' s what this Doan wants. All you have to do is bring in a sketch showing wells all around you, who does it Wardic , Nye, you name them all, they' ll do it for you, and you don't have to have the whole 600 dollars , this ' ll cost you maybe thirty or forty dollars.
