HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE—PUBLIC SESSION J <br /> Committee Members Present. Also Present: <br /> John Calahane Gail Wilson, Human Services Director <br /> Lynne Waterman <br /> Veronica Warden <br /> Mary Bradbury <br /> Ebony Steele <br /> Lynne Barbee <br /> Absent: Frank Fantasia <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman John Calahane called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS—None <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Review of minutes from November 16, 2017 <br /> Motion: Lynne Waterman moved to accept the minutes of November 16, 2017 as <br /> amended, seconded by Veronica Warden. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion of Human Services Contract Funding <br /> The Director stated she met with the new Director of Falmouth Human Services, Suzie <br /> Hauptmann and she discussed how the funding structure has changed for their Human <br /> Services Contracts. She said they decided to do a year long Needs Assessment and in <br /> response to that developed different categories of need and then sent out RFP's. This <br /> process took many different phases over a few years. The Director stated that we share <br /> many of the same general needs and further information can be gathered from recent data <br /> from Barnstable County, The Committee members thought it would be a good idea to <br /> have Suzie Hauptmann attend one of our upcoming meetings. <br /> There was a discussion on which agencies the members would invite to their meetings: <br /> Fairwinds, Cape Cod Child Development, Capabilities and South Coastal Legal Services. <br /> Lynne Waterman suggested sending the agencies a list of questions that were developed <br /> by the subcommittee. The members reviewed the list of questions: <br /> 1. What needs of the Mashpee community does the agency meet? <br />
