PAGE FIVE
TOWN OF MASHPEE , BOARD OF HEALTH ,, MEETING , AUGUST 19 , 1986
suppose whenever you tale a vehicle with high mileage you always
run the risk of a. high maintenance cost , an engine to blow or some-
thing like this ; net every department could or should budget enough
money for an engine replacement within the course of the year , s
weire thinking of some sort of motor peel , at least voter pool bud-
get and a regular preventative maintenance f some of these admini -
strative vehicles . So , ah , we do have some police cars coming up ,
as a ratter of fact they ' re available right now , we do have a couple
of them that are in relatively decent shape but in need of repairs
and one in not too decent shape . What I talked about briefly with
Nonie was , you have an asistant , you have the position of assistant
and we have an assistant net door in Inspections , I don ' t see u -
in -a position where we ' re going- tobe able to have an extra car here
and an extra car there , but , if we had one car that could be shared
somebody using it Monday , Wednesday and Friday in the mornings and
somebody using it Monday , Wednesday and Friday in the aftrn . ns ,
this- type of thing , I ' m sure that things ou l d be worked out that
would provide an extra vehicle for you . The other thing I ' r look-
ing
i -
in at i s , if we can set up some sort of a rotor pool list , then w
can- do some much needed repairs to keep the vehicle -that you have
in decent shape and that has many more miles on it . The onserva-
t-i on Officer car , we did spend some mone' y rune', on i , - a used police car
with many miles on it , but it sti 1 l has some good miles on th re
for adr-i n i strat i v purposes . You ' ve go-t an advantage , th-e car
you ' re using i s ' a smaller one . Hopefully , by Monday or Tuesday -I
wi l I learn if there is a source of money available to create a
motor pool .
The Board thanked ed the Executive secretary for his input .
NOTE : - THE FOLLOWING PLAN ACCOMPANIED BY LETTER DATED AUGUST 121,
1986 , received in this ,office ugust . 13 , 1986 , according to the
letter is scheduled for a public bearing September 3 , 1986 ,
FORTY FIVE DAY PERIOD AFTER SUBMISSION Is REQUIRED . THE FOLLOWING
Is VERBATIM OUE A REQUEST THAT TKE APPEARANCE OF STORRS Is TO ASK
THIS BOARD 10 , REVIEW IT PRIOR TO THE SEPTEMBER 3RD DATE AND THE
PLAN IS STILL NOT CORRECT AS SUBMITTED .
Storrs : We were in front of the Planning Board for definitive plan
approval . of this subdivision which basically entails Jobs Fishing
Road , this is the Library lot , this is the Church lot , this is the
Village Common , this is the Elderly Housing andel Jobs Fishing Road
runs down through -here The shopping center presently ists up in
here . And , the definitive subdivision plan ppr oval , as I under-
stand
nd r -
stand it , 1 1 m a little sketchy on this , the Board of Health has 4
days to review and rake comments on the plan , is that correct?
FB : I think os , yes .
CHL : That ' s the way it goes .
Storrs : We ' re tentatively scheduled for September 2nd , September
3rd , a public hearing for a definitive plan , NUTSHELL , short of
your 45 days , so that ' s why I sent a letter requesting to see if
we could take a look at it before than .
FB : The Common is just an open space .
