Wilson, George R. Costa <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED A PART OF THE MEETING, IT IS FOR THE USE OF <br /> THE CLER} ' I N TRANS R IB I NG. THE MINUTES. <br /> 1 . Warrants signed. <br /> 2. Minutes of meeting 2/1/88 approved as written, Motion GRC.. Second RLW. <br /> 3. Chair: "Before we go into the article s of the warrant (agenda) , I 'd like t <br /> thank everybody for their -censiderati ns during the time I 've been laid up, I <br /> hope I ' l l be back in full action pretty soon, but I have during the period cone <br /> to the conclusion that I will not ake out papers to run for another three years. <br /> I 'm sorry, it's not a decision that I make easily, I 've been connected with the <br /> board and on the board ',for the ,past eleven years I guess, but I gust feel that <br /> I can't go through another trhee 'years with the tire- that's required in the posi- <br /> tion and I 've l ways felt that if you can't do what you 're supposed to do, ,you"d <br /> better not do anything.! Copy of report to Citizens of Mashpee for Town Report. The Chair asked other <br /> members if they felt that everything had been covered,, GRC said he felt that more <br /> mention should be made of Agencies offering services to the town i .e.upp r cape <br /> Visiting Nurses) . The Chair advised that those agencies in addition t un y <br /> i <br /> Health would submit a report. All agreed to submit report as written. <br /> . Letter to Board from Sewer Committee re: Upper Blackstone, whi h advised <br /> this beard that Sewer was in agreement and lauded the board for taking action <br /> prior to any emergencies arising. Member of Sewer Commission Costa elaborated <br /> that Sewer thought this commendable that Health care up with something that <br /> was very workable, originally Sewer thought that if there was a. clause if we <br /> had to get out of it, but after looking at it again there was mp clause, it <br /> was a three year contract which didn 't say you had to use it but it only ran for <br /> three years. Recommendation of Sewer is that some sort of tanker be rented and <br /> located at Landfill (capacity ton or twenty thousand gallons) cost would be on <br /> the basis of cast of tanker, hauling of tanker back and forth to Upper Blackstone. <br /> In that way there would be complete control and money would be collected up front. <br /> Elias was asked last week to look into obtaining tanker trucks, this information <br /> will be available net week* GRC said also that this board would have to seek the <br /> permission of DEE to haul to Blackstone for and 'emergency' situation, however, <br /> the Chairman of Sower Committee recommends that this beard not declare an emergency <br /> until everything is put together. Elis said that Stetson Hall had recommended <br /> a de-watering prss where the deposits w uld be made into the lagoons and only <br /> solids pumped into the- tankers..
