IT, IS FOR THE PURPOSE of TRANSCRIBING <br /> MINUTES. <br /> . Warrants signed <br /> At this time Mr. costa motioned to nominate- Mr. Stephen Greelish as clerk to <br /> the Board of Health, Mr. Wilson seconded. <br /> 2, Mr. Wilson motioned to accept the minutes of May 16, 1988, Mr. Greelish <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br /> 3, ) Response to the D.E. .E. Administrative order: Mr. costa stated M . <br /> McQuaid has composed a letter to D.E. .E. which gives the Board the <br /> right to an appeal . Mr. Costa explained that the engin rs will view <br /> the lagoon area and report to this Board., wi'th i n the weed -the .estimated <br /> cost. <br /> Appointment: Mr. Ernie Virgilio regarding stickers and operations to the <br /> Town landfill area. <br /> Mr. Virgilio stated the stickers will :issued once two forms of identi- <br /> fication, are provided, car registration and/or driver's license and tax bill . <br /> He explained one sticker per vehicle will be issued and -this is based on the <br /> Selectmen' s decision. <br /> Mr. Greelish questioned, who developed this procedure. <br /> Mr. V i r ,i 1 i o commented the operation will be maintained by the D.P.W. <br /> however the Board of Health are the regulators. <br /> Mr. Costa explained that at Town meeting it was voted to have the Town <br /> maintain the landfill area which left control to the D.P. . , at that point <br /> we requested Town Counsel 's opinion as to whether this Board would maintain <br /> authority to regulate landfill sticker costs for both residential and commer- <br /> cial . <br /> ommer-- <br /> oial . He stated Town Counsel ruled that the Board of Health will continue to <br /> regulate commercial landfill stickers and residential stickers will be avail- <br /> able through the D.P.W, * Mr. costa explained -to Mr. Greelish -that the elect- <br /> men have control of setting sticker er costs. <br /> Mr. Greelish requested a copy of Town Counsel 's ruling. <br /> A <br /> Costa explained to Mr. Greelish that this Board had not received a <br /> cop,Y of Mr. Reardon' s ruling. <br />
