Costa questioned Mr. McQuaid as to whether; he has had contact with the occupants of the dwelling. Mr, McQuaid stated that the occupants were awaiting this report. Mr. Costa requested Mr. McQuaid keep in contact with this problem and report back to the Board. Mr. Creelish stated he forwarded the original report to his people and as' ed them to project- what this substance was against the solu- bility in water, etc and stated they had results of match' against unleaded gasoline. He stated they suggested a total flushi-,ng and stated they only forwarded a rough estimate on how much of thesub- stance (soluble component) had diffused and stated they reported a substantial portion of approximately 40 constituant large molecules. #r. Costa suggested the occupants pump for at least 48 hours before a sample i s taken. 21 . Copy, letter Dana Perkins to D.E.Q.E. re: Inspection of interim system indchime' Point - Mr. McQuaid explained to the Board that this came about when the engineering firm was placing a interim system at Windchi e Point discovered that the installer of the leaching trenches was off by eight inches. He stated it was DEQE`s opinion and mine that it would not significantly alter the func- tioning. 22. ) P rc extension request, J.D, Vinsen, 57 Leather Leaf Lane - Mr. McQuaid stated ab extension was previously granted to the previous owner which expires June 28, 1988 the new owner is requestin this--new extension.
