Y' MINUTES September 19, 1988 5 BOARD OF HEALTH Mr. Costa requested Mr. -Sc i p i one to provide the Board with cost figures for such a biological. process. Mr. Hanlon stated he will provide the Boasrd with the bid schedule for the lagoons at the next regularly s.ceudled meeting. Mr. Costa requested Weston & Sampson to include, in the bid figure, the stages in which the lagoons should be checked. He stated the recommended plan at this time is to build a s eptage treatment facility and then,cor plete a pilot study and ex- plained that a full scale pilot study would involve more-work on the lagoons, such as lining the lagoons, buying echan i a-1 'equ i pry !nt- which would turn it into a treatment,system.=. Mr,. 5o i pione stated .we ,could increase its capacity up to 6,000 or 7,000 gallons' a day, F r ■ Mr. Hanlon informed the Board that the idea behind the facility plant is to install a sequencingwbatch. reactor, which operates an activating sludge process i n -a different mode -between batches of sop 6 -'. He stated the plan is an approval not required plan.
