l� <br /> TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> anuary 4, 1990 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: George R. Costa , Stephen J. Greelish and John T. Doherty <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART of THEMEETING.' IT' IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSCRIBING <br /> MINUTES. <br /> Mr. George R. Costa, Chairman <br /> 1 . Warrants signed <br /> . ) Mr. Doherty motioned to accept the minutes of December 21 , 1989, Mr. <br /> reelish seconded, all agreed. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Paul Botelho - Proposed Retail Building <br /> Mr. Botelho was in attendance for this scheduled appointment. <br /> Mr. Botelho stated Ile is present this evening to obtain approval for the <br /> proposed well, and septic -locations. The proposed building will be utilized <br /> for retail business in front with storage located in the basement area. <br /> Mr. McQuaid explained two septic systems are proposed which would ade- <br /> quate iy handle -the flow, as long as, the proposed building maintains storage <br /> in the basement and retail on the ground level as shown on plans. Mr. McQuaid <br /> vied his concern with the private well servicing the commercial building. <br /> The Board wouid be unable to monitor the number of occupants as -they would be <br /> restricted to twenty-four. In spearing with D.E.P. they recommended Mr. Botelho <br /> provide a written affidavit stating no more than twenty-four employees would <br /> be employed at. the site, this stipulation would be stated on the occupancy per- <br /> mit or the plan could be submitted to D.E.P. for their review and comment. <br /> 1r. McQuaid questioned Mr. Botelho as to when- occupancy will be requested. <br /> 9 F <br /> M t * f <br /> Mr. Botelho responded he intends to construct the building according to <br /> all fire specifications , sprinklers will be installed however no water will. <br /> will enter--the s stemn until ,pub l i . -water, is made available. !fir. Botelho <br /> stated he was i nformed, a s 1 ong as, -the proper f i re wa 11 s ar.e constu ted the <br /> Fire Department will sign off- n T occ u pan cy, Con stru tion -wi 11. beg-i.n when <br /> all proper permits are secured. <br /> 7 J <br /> Ir. Greelish recommended approval of the proje t providing Mr. Botelho <br /> is 'the sole occupant of the building, employees will be limited to 24 until <br /> such tine as public water is supplied to the facility. <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to approval plans as submitted with the stipulation <br /> until =such: time as public water is made available to the facility fir. Botelho <br /> is to be the sole occupant, employees are to be limited' -to 24, Mr. Greel i.sh <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br />
