MINUTES January 4, 1990 2 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> 4 <br /> APPOINTMENT: George Thorng - Arrow .Engineering - revised plans Timberiane <br /> Drive <br /> Mr. Thorng was in attendance for this scheduled appointment <br /> . Thorng presented revised pians before the Board and stated -i n speak- <br /> ing with Mr. Bret Powe from D.E.P. he did indicate that 0% of the daily <br /> flow could be pumped from the septic tank with a low flow ejector. An <br /> alternative method would be to . pump from a roan hole before the septic tank <br /> and gravity feed the septic tank with the manhole, the full bath downstairs <br /> would be perry i ta.b l e, along with the three bedrooms arid wet bar. <br /> Mr. Costa stated he would like to await D.E.P, ' s recommendations. <br /> M . Evans commented a pump i s perry i tt d on the effluent part of the <br /> tank. , <br /> Board members were in argreeance to await D.E.P. 's recommendations. <br /> APPOINTMENT: A. Ferragamo & P. Sullivan - Mashpee Housing Authority <br /> ;r, Anthony Ferragamo was in attendance for this schedu led appointment. <br /> Mr. Ferragamo informed the Board a Comprehensive Special Permit was <br /> issued by the Board of Appeals over one year ago. This permit was issued <br /> after drawings and related information was circulated to the appropriate town <br /> agen-c i es that were required by State statute to be notified of the comprehen- <br /> sive permit filing. A public hearing was meld and imp'ut was solicited from <br /> the town agencies, who were asked to solicit what their requirements would be. <br /> Mr. Ferragamo stated their were no requirements that came forth from the Board <br /> of Health at that t i me. <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed to Board members that this is the first lie has seer <br /> of this entire project. <br /> . Ferragamo informed the Board the septic system is according to State <br /> Title V requirements. Perc tests are outdated dine to requirements that the <br /> State imposed- prior to finalizing the two million -dollar grant. The State <br /> will not fund fees for re-perking, their contention being soil conditions have <br /> not changed. The engineer has recommended there be 4' of suitable material <br /> demonstrated underneath the leaching pits in the Pres-ence of the design engi- <br /> neer <br /> rgi- <br /> n er and if requested, . a health agent. <br /> Mr, McQuaid commented the perc location, n the average, is ' to 1001 <br /> away from the proposed leaching facility.
