{_ # <br /> l.i , <br /> MINUTES January 26, 1990 4 BOARD of HEALTH <br /> Attorney Franklin reminded Board members, from a legal <br /> point of view, that many opportunities arose, although they <br /> were passed up, to give imput both informally and formally. <br /> Mr. Creel sh commented this Board is not trying to im- <br /> peded the process but rather assisting i trying to provide <br /> additional funding if necessary. <br /> AT THIS TIME MR, COSTA JOINED THE MEETING <br /> . Conceptual approval from D.E.P. for New Seabury Treat- <br /> ment Plant #2 - Mr. McQuaid stated the first time he was in- <br /> formed of #2 plant was last April where he was asked to wit- <br /> ness some perc tests with D, . . . , which he did. This Board <br /> never received plans for the treatment plant, its location <br /> nor its volume or purpose. This report from . #P. , received <br /> yesterday is the only information we have received on this <br /> project. Mr. McQuaid stated it has been his understanding <br /> that any plans submitted to D. .P. for approval, in the en- <br /> tire process of a treatment plant, would also he supplied t <br /> this Board, Mr. McQuaid presented a setter forwarded by this <br /> Board to New Seabury regarding their #1 treatment plant which <br /> informed t emt this Board had adopted a regulation requiring a <br /> fee for engineering supervision and also a memo to Jeff <br /> Gould, dated August of last year, asking for a meeting t <br /> discuss the New Seahury proposed treatment plants, no ree- <br /> sponse was received from the correspondence. This is a newly <br /> proposed treatment plant which must adhere to the regulation. <br /> Mr. Costa stated Mr. Fudula contacted counsel for D. .P. <br /> who informed hien he was in receipt of a letter from the <br /> as .pee Sewer Commissioners and Board of Health who have <br /> agreed that the town of Maspee will take over treatment <br /> plant #1 and proposals for three other treatment plants. Mr. <br /> udula informed Attorney Leehey the letter was eroneous as <br /> these statements were never made. Mr. Costa suggested <br /> follow-up with D# .P. on their ruling and requested a copy of <br /> D. ,P. s letter be forwarded to the Town Planner. <br /> 4. ) final approval and discharge permit for Cranberry Hollow <br /> from D, .P. - Mr. McQuaid relayed these plans are for a 297 <br /> unit condominium complex, <br /> Board members acknowledged receiving DoE,Pefs final ap- <br /> proval. <br /> 5. D. .P. monitoring well approval, "Cranberry Hollow" <br />
