�1 <br /> MINUTES January � , 1990 3 BOARD of HEALTH <br /> APPOINTMENT: Jerry Monaghan n -~ Recycling Committee <br /> Mr. Monaghan ways ,in attendance for this scheduled ap- <br /> point ent. <br /> i <br /> Mr. Greelish presented Mr, Monaghan with a list of vol- <br /> unteers for the recycling committee and explained one of the <br /> first matters to be addressed is public education and aware- <br /> ness. Proper procedures for removal of the lids on cans etc. <br /> should be researched. Mr, Greelish suggested Mr, Monaghan <br /> Utilize this Boards rsources such as materials, funds etc. <br /> and would like the committee to eventually attain alltonomous <br /> status. <br /> Board members .forwarded their signatures to the appoint- <br /> ment form designating Mr. Monaghan as Chairman to theRecy- <br /> cling Committee. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Mike 'honer - Mashpee Housing Authority <br /> Mr. Toner was in attendance for this scheduled appoint- <br /> ment, as well as, Attorney Iathline Franklin, Counsel for the <br /> Housing Authority. <br /> Mr, Greelish explained, it is in the best interests of <br /> all parties involved to have the project meet certain techni� <br /> cal requirements. Funds should be acquired in some manner to <br /> ensure that septic design meets the necessary requirements. <br /> Mr. Toner stated last night the general construction <br /> contract was awarded and commented opportunities may arise, <br /> during the course of construction, to address the Boards con- <br /> cerns. <br /> Mr. Greelish stated it would be this Boardfs approach <br /> that if additional funding is needed the Authority inform us <br /> and this Board will research additional funding* This Board, <br /> thru past experiences with United Church Village, feels <br /> strongly enough to pursue aissues addressed in r,. <br /> McQuaid's letter to ensure past mistakes are not repeated. <br /> Mr, Toner requested the Board to submit a letter to the <br /> Housing Authority documenting all issues addressed. <br /> Mr, McQuaid stated he would provide this information <br /> within the week. <br /> ■ <br /> i 4. <br />
