MINUTES March 15, 1990 5 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> day to do some test holes on Lot 19 , Once we get ready to <br /> build on lot 2I , we will have Doyle Eng. do a blow up of this <br /> map indicating where the old house was located and the Title <br /> plan will indicate where the new house will be located, to- <br /> gether these plans will indicate where extreme caution shall <br /> be necessary. JTD questioned what had happened to a fourth <br /> 275 gals tank which has been removed, Dep. Baker stated that <br /> there is no law requiring a permit for the removal of above <br /> ground tanks, unlike underground tanks, Dep. Baker confirmed <br /> that one tank had been removed, but it was an abandoned empty <br /> above ground tank. He indicated his displeasure with this <br /> removal as it went against their agreement not to remove any <br /> tanks without his permission. EAM indicated his concern that <br /> so far 4 tanks have been discovered and whether or not there <br /> is a way to probe for additional tanks in meas where there <br /> might have been buildings before. Baker indicated that to <br /> his recollection, there was once a truck depot with perhaps <br /> large U.S.T, ls still underground.. die further indicated his <br /> concern with gasoline tanks which if nicked and fumes are <br /> present may explode. SG stated that the likelihood that <br /> there are still gasoline tanks underground is very strong as <br /> he remembers gasoline pumps on the site, He requested that <br /> every effort be made to locate these possible gasoline tanks, <br /> perhaps with aerial photographs. Dep. Baker said he would <br /> try to contact Lowden Tree who used to own or lease the prop- <br /> erty last, to see if anyone there recollects where the tanks <br /> may have been located.
