MINUTES March 1 , 1990 4 SAD OF HEALTH
. NEW FLOOR PLAID FOR NEW TOWN HALL Agent and Principal
Clerk raised their~ concern over the reduced file space made
available on the' new plan. SJG indicated that the floor space
allotted to this - and the Building Dept. is actually 35%
greater than what is shown.
. VA l AI CE REQUEST, LOT 60B NOHONO ROAD FOR MCMENAMY - EAM
indica .ed that numerous variances from our regulation are re-
quested, specifically the 150 foot well to septic separation,
and the variance to install a 600 gals pit instead of the
1000 gals pit, No ground water was observed during the perc
test to a depth of 13 feet, therefore a- variance due to
break-out appears unnecessary. The second factor EAM indi-
cated was that two water sample results were received at the
office for this lot without any well permit having been is-
sued, one on 2190 and one on 220/90, one submitted by
Pioneer Pump and the other by Mr. McMenany. EAM indicated
this was of great concern particularly due to the number of
variances requested from abutting wells and septic systems.
EAM recommended to the Board that the well driller and the
applicant be called before the Board to discuss this set of
circumstances. Motion to follow the Agent's recommendation
and continue this hearing by JTD, seconded by SG.
7, ) VARIANCE REQUEST, LOT 263 POPPOI E SL ' ISLAND ROAD FOR
DELLI PISLLI - FAM indicated that this lot was perked
three times. The original set of plans proposed to locate the
septic system in what would be considered unsuitable sails.
EAM contacted the engineer and suggested that the plans be
revised to locate the system in the area of test pit #1 which
showed more suitable soil conditions and a greater distance
to groundwater. These revisions are on the Latest set of
plans submitted, A variance from the 1000 gals pit to a flow
diffuser system and a condition that any impermeable a e-
rial , if encountered, be removed for a radius of 10 feet
would be required. Motion to approve plans with thiscondi-
tion made by JTD, seconded by SJGV
APPOINTMENT: KEN BOVA 7 DEP, CHIEF SAKE RE: UNDERGROUND
S'T'ORAGE TANKS AT WIN LOW HEIGHTS - Mr. Bova presented a plan
o the Board indicating the locations of the previous dwell
ings on the property prior to the subdivision approval. of
the 72 lots, approximately 26 remain to be built upon. one
tank was discovered on lot 19 and another on 23 . The only
remaining lot in this particular area to be built upon is lot
21 which it appears had a building upon it in the past, A
agreed, whenever anything is discovered underground, we have
and will notify EAM. Fortunately, none of the tanks were
ruptured and none had leaked. D.E.P. will be down this Fri-
