MINUTES March 1 , 1990 3 BOARD OF HEALTH
with the already started revised engineering plans. You may
chose, through your engineer, to approach an abutter to agree
to have his well relocated so that your revised plans conform
to Title V.
TD motioned to deny without prejudice, SJG seconded.
APPOINTMENT: MR, BONITATIBUSI BRIARWOOD VARIANCE REQUEST.
CANCELLED BY APPLICANT&
3 , ) MEMO FROM EXECUTIVE SECRETARY RE: REQUEST FOR BOARD PAIN--
UTE - JTD motioned to comply with request, S G seconded.
4. MEMO FROM EXECUTIVE SECRETARY RE: MEETING WITH AGENT
(FOR DISCUSSION) - EAi indicated there were three items dis-
cussed:
A, A letter from Mr. Burton to the Ex, Sec. regarding
the possibility of U.S.Tan s at the intersection of Rte. 130
and - otuit Road. The Board has been involved in resolving
this issue for two years now and a meeting has been scheduled
for 3/20/90 with the DPW, the Fire Dept, Exec, BOH and the
Burtons to discuss this natter. As it stands now, the Fire
Dept, has issued an "Order" to have the tanks removed if in-
dlb eed they are in the ground. The 'Town Planner has indicated
that he would like to see the Town "take" this property to
improve the intersection, however, it will be my recommenda-
tion that this be put on hold until the .issue of the tanks is
resolved.
B. Since our last sampling round at Suerwood ap-
proximately 20 new families have been added to the list of
those requesting bottled water. Due to the transient mature
of the residents and the time span between this and the pre-
vious round of testing this should not be surprising. The
Selectmen's office, however, did not budget for this addi-
tional oast and has indicated that this account will run out
of funds before Town water becomes available, It was my sug-
gestion tion to the Ex, Sec, that the Board of Health take over
paying this hill once their account runs dry, sometime in
May. This would end once Town water* becomes available,
which, according to Mr. Ellis, will be on or around June 15,
I indicated to the Ex. Sec, that this proposal , of course ,
would have to be agreed upon by my Board. EAM indicated that
e will have enough funds left in our #448 account, JTD mo-
tioned
o-tion d to provide the additional funds necessary. SJG sec-
onded. The approximate cost, according to the Selectmen's
office is $1000,00 per month. This agreement will end once
public water becomes available to the Summerwood complex.
