Ms. Brock explained the two plume theory,
( introduced by Weston & Sampson) , and commented . .c. and
inorganic testing was conducted on all Sumerwod wells known
to have contamination, as well as, landfill area wells.
Tests were conducted within two weeps of each other in order
to determine if there was a trend between the landfill and
Summe -wood. No trends were found, inorganic testing wasper-
formed only on those wells having volatiles present as those
would be the wells that would have suspected impact from the
landf ill . From house #15 on, (shown on graph) , the tread if
very different from house #15 back. From house #15 back i
what you would expect to be in the plume, as determined by
Weston & Sampson, the concentrations of iron magnesium, man-
ganese and calcium tend to fora soludes in landfill plumes.
In the wells at Summerod, lot 12, other areas down gradi-
ent including upgradient wells and lateral wells and clear
we l 1 s, (included from house #15 down) , there were no metals
found, which indicates an isolated spill . Ms. Brock ex-
plained the spill appears to have taken place many years ago
since the major portion of the plug of the plume has passed
by this point, umme -wod , and is discharging into the
Mashpee River, Ms. Brock stated a marginal area, that in-
cludes a corner of the landfill , is a suspected area that the
