r MINUTES May 10, 1990 2 BOARD of HEALTH 1 chemical dumping could have occurred, in order to impact the areas observed. Mr, Costa questioned Ms. Brook as to whether soil boarings would indicate the area in which the spill originated. Ms. Brock responded it is possible however as spillage occured many years ago and the major plug of the plume has passed would only produce minute residue. Ms. Brock commented the way that the ground waters con- tours are configured have resulted in seeps along the Mashpee River. There may be an interface of two plumes, perhaps near the .8.W, building, which are discharging into the River. s, Brock relayed chloroform, which is indigenous to the Cape, was not found in the landfill area as opposed to the sun erwood area where chloroform was found to co-exist with the chl,oronated solvents.. Ms, Brock stated the levels have dropped and suggested monitoring -11 site, Ms, Brock recommended ars investigation on the impact to the River. Fetter from Hisaka re: Coombg School "As Built" for oc.- cupanc permit - Mr. McQuaid informed the Board there is a financial problem between the Architect, Engineer and In- staller. The Architect retained the services of the town en- gineer to submit an "As Built" . The "As Built" received was incomplete as a few pits could not be located. Mr. Costa requested Mr. McQuaid to inform the Engineer of his responsibility to have the proper "As Built" submit- ted. .
