i <br /> ti <br /> ■ <br /> s <br /> • <br /> preservation, and all VOC vials were prepared with H1 <br /> to prevent volatile degradation prior to analysis, All <br /> saiples for mewl analysis were field filtered, <br /> utilizing a .45 um cellulose acetate filter pad and <br /> preserved in a bottle with H . <br /> -All volatile samples were taken from the tap of the <br /> bailer prior to other sampling to ensure minimal loss. <br /> -After collection, samples were immediately placed in <br /> an iced cooler, before proceeding to the next well. <br /> -Once samples were gathered frorn each individual <br /> well all equipment ent was cleared according to <br /> standard field protocol to avoid crass-contamination) , <br /> This process includes ars initial rinse in a detergent <br /> solution Alconox , a triple rinse in distilled Mater, <br /> a rinse in 1 pesticide grade methanol solution and a <br /> final triple rinse in distilled water. Additionally, <br /> the bailer- purged with 5 or more volumes of water from <br /> the well which is to be sampled in order to ensure the <br /> gathering of formation water. <br /> -For additional duality control a laboratory (Distilled <br /> Water) trip blank, equipment blanks and duplicate <br /> samples are taken for each day of sampling. <br /> -A field log is }sept for each sampling trip with <br /> accurate field conditions, field readings, and <br /> notations alerting the laboratory of any possible <br /> sampling problem which might affect accuracy of <br /> analysis or might explain discrepencies. <br /> ANALYTICAL METHODS: <br /> Approved methods were used for all analyses.
