MA 02649 <br /> 477-1777" <br /> USED TIRE DISPOSAL REGULATION <br /> I <br /> I <br /> Under the authority granted to Boards of Health through the provisions of <br /> Chapter 111 , Sect I on 31 of the amended Massachusetts General Laws, the Mashpee <br /> Board of Health has adopted the following set of reguIations to control and <br /> ensure the proper disposal of used tires: <br /> Used tines will be accepted at the transfer station from Iashpee <br /> residents who have a valid transfer station sticker. <br /> These tires shall be logged in by the attendant. Residents must <br /> provide their name, sticker number and registration number. <br /> Any resident who brings in more than two tires rust provide proof <br /> of purchase of new tires. <br /> Used tins must be defied. Rims may be disposed of at the metal <br /> pile as dirested by the attendant. <br /> Used tires will NOT be accepted from any business or service station <br /> engaged in the sale of tires. These establishments must dispose of <br /> used tires through a dlsilos l company licensed by the Commonwealth <br /> to transport and dispose of used*tires. <br /> These establishments must also keep a written log of the disposal <br /> •' 4 <br /> of used tires indicating the date, the number of tires disposed of <br /> t <br /> and the nave of the disposal company. This log shall be presented <br /> to the Board of Health or its agents upon request. <br /> Failure to comply with these regulations constitutes a violation of the <br /> "Illegal Dumping" By-Law which carries a three hundred dollar fine. � <br /> These regulations become effective upon publication. <br /> Adopted July 5, 1990, <br /> Stephen J.
