TOWSâ– F MASHPEE
BOARD OF HEALTH
December 6 . 1990
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Members present: Stephen J. Greelish and George R. Costa.
Mr. Doherty joined the meeting at 7 : 15 p.m.
THE TARE IS NOT RAIN of THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE DE
TRANSCRIBING ONLY.
Mr, Stephen J. Greelish, Chairman
1. warrants signed
2, ) Mr, Costa Motioned to accept the minutes of November 29,
1990 , Mr. Greelish seconded.
APPOINTMENT: Cape & Islands - Antunes subdivision
Mr~. John Slavinsky was in attendance for this scheduled
appointment.
Mr. Slavinsky informed the Board the Antunes propose to
subdivide a twelve acre parcel with future intentions of
transferring ownership of a few lots to their children, The
remaining lots will be sold to pay taxes . Subdivision plans
were submitted to the Planning Board, however~ plans were not
approved as a water quality report is required. Mr,
Slavinsky questioned the water quality report requirement as
the parcel is not within a ground water protection distr*- ct
nor is it according Nate Ellis, within a zone 2 re-chas e
area. The parcel is 970 feet away from the nearest . water
body or wetland and is not within a groundwater recharge zone
for surface water bodies.
Mr. Greelish questioned Mr. Slavinsky as to whether the
Planning Board is specific in what is required to satisfy the
water quality report.
Mr. Slavinsky responded they are requiring a firm, in-
volved in ground water studies to determine the effects a
subdivision will have on the groundwater if it lies within
those four parameters. According to the requirement test re-
sults must be provided for 2 test wells per 10 proposed lots.
Mr. McQuaid recommended this Board comply with t Plan-
ning Boards policy using the guidelines o'f the C.C. 'Commis-
sion which is 30 lots. If a new subdivision is proposed
