MINUTES January 23, 1989 2 BOARD of HEALTH <br /> . Memo and literature from c. .F.D, . re; Recycling -- Mr. Greelish <br /> commented the literature contained in the pamphlet is informative and <br /> suggested the Board review it and discuss its contents at the net <br /> meeting. <br /> 7 &'8) Copy of letter from Elias o Ms. Ridley of Dept. of Food & Drug - Mr. <br /> Costa commented to the Board that ,the restaurant mown as china Gradens <br /> is currently operating without' a license, due to their failure to pass <br /> inspection. <br /> 'Mr. McQuaid informed ,-the Board-.that he did speak with the Dept. of Public <br /> Health in Lakeville, who explained to him that they do not perform in- <br /> spections <br /> n- <br /> spections at' the request of local Boards of Health.- Mr, McQuaid stated <br /> he was directed to write to Nancy Widley, -Director of the Division of <br /> Food and Drug explaining the situation and perhaps have their 'per-- - <br /> sonnel perform an inspection at the premises and advise this Board as <br /> .to the procedures to be taken, Mr. McQuaid stated Mr. costa suggested <br /> a meeting with the several owners, (partners) , of the restaurant to dis- <br /> cuss the situation and the status of the permit and commented they have <br /> been forwarded a letter, by certified mail ,, requesting their presence <br /> t February 13, '1989 meeting, <br /> Mr. McQuaid -informed the Board that the restaurants food handling pro- <br /> cedures are in strict violation and explained to the Board that the <br /> manager was informed of the violations and the changes in their opera- <br /> ting procedures that should take place. <br /> . costa and Mr. Greelih requested Mr. McQuaid to re-inspect the <br /> restaurant prior to the February 13, 1989 meeting, Mr. Wilson was in <br /> agreeance. <br /> Mr. Costa requested Mr. McQuaid to inform the manager, once inspection <br /> has take place and violations are found, that immediate action will be <br /> taken by this Board. <br /> . .x <br /> 9. ) copy of "Inspector" from We sto-n & Sampson,, F.Y.I. - The Board acknowledged <br /> receiving the copy. <br /> 10. ) Letter from the Radon company announcing services available - Mr, Costa <br /> requested Mr. McQuaid forward a copy of this letter to Dr.Lincoln DeMoura. <br /> 11 . ) Seminar Announcement "Food se vice sa n i tat i o"; Feb. 16, 1989 @ U. MA. <br /> Amherst - Mr. McQuaid stated he would -like to atter ,this meeting. <br /> The Board forwarded its approval for Mr. McQuaid tb attend this meeting. <br /> 12. Seminar Announcement "Take charge" , . .H. ' s Rights and Liabilities, <br /> Feb. 1 , 1989 at La evi e - The Board acknowledged ledged the seminar ann un eme,nt. <br /> 13. Perk extension request, 7. Wintergreen Circle - Mr. McQuaid informed the <br /> Board that the prc did expire in Aug u st of 1987, rid commented t-h i s is <br /> one of many perks that have expired in the subdivision <br /> Mr. costa explained to the Board that a land swap was. in the process at <br /> the time construction of' the subdivision began and commented that these <br /> circumstances could warrant approval of this perc extension. <br />
