Activities - The Board <br /> acnowledged the request. <br /> 4. Meeting with Selectmen, March 13, it9 @ �:OO re: Landfill/Transfer <br /> Station fees - The Board acknowledged the meeting date with the <br /> A <br /> Selectmen. <br /> ' <br /> Mr. Greelish discussed various procedures in regards to the Transfer <br /> Station and informed the Board that Packers ers will be restricted to opera- <br /> tions of one town per 'load however may be licensed in other towns. Mr. <br /> Greelish stated spot checking will tale place from time to time, account- <br /> ing will take place on a bi-monthly basis , a listing of load weights and <br /> packers will be provided at which time e a system must be developed to bill <br /> the packers. Mr. Greelish stated discussion took place at the Transfer <br /> Station meeting regarding the holding fee and ooented .the three towns <br /> will coordinate this fee program. Mr. Greelish suggested any additional <br /> loads at the 'landfill and transfer station should be charged .i <br /> bookkeeping fee and stated further meetings will be required with the <br /> other towns to institute fee schedules etc. . <br /> Mr. Greelish stated information was received at the meeting in regards <br /> to escalation clauses in -the sEMASS and Bay Colony contracts and ex- <br /> plained Bay Colony is tied to the price index 07a of, for its yearly <br /> increases and EMAS has developed a formula based on occupancy. He <br /> commented there is a previously agreed system whereby a' schedule -has <br /> be instituted for each town to grow and increase its output to SE-MASS. <br /> He stated the town may opt for either price index (old or new) . Mr. <br /> Greelish discussed the various options for determining tonage and ex- <br /> plained that an accurate accounting cannot be established at this time. <br /> Mr. Greelish informed the Board that the opening date for the Otis <br /> Transfer station is April 17, 1989 and propose to coordinate-all packers <br /> on line at that time. <br /> Mr. Greelish suggested letters be forwarded to all packers, as soon a <br /> possible, informing them of the proposed Otis opening date. <br />
