MINUTES March 6, 1989 2- BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. costa questioned public awareness of the procedures required for <br /> the Transfer Station. <br /> Mr. Gree 1 i sh responded, -this aspect will require immediate attention <br /> and explained that unacceptable loads will be placed in the dumpsters <br /> on site and each company will maintain their own dumpsters, which will <br /> be locked, the towns will alternate emptying of the dumpster , un- <br /> acceptable items) . <br /> Mr. costa voiced his concern as to where the bulky nor -acceptable items <br /> will be stored .arid discussed the possibility of Weston. & Sampson desii- <br /> nating an area at the landfill to stere these items. <br /> Mr, Gree 1 i sh commented that a computer installed at. the Transfer Station <br /> with cards, for each household in the town , would be the most beneficial <br /> means of identification and security for this project. He explained that <br /> spot checks- by the Haith Agents would preclude the necessity for a full <br /> time person, any violaters will be fined <br /> APPOINTMENT.: Har a , 3 Santuit lane -- Title V variance request <br /> Mr. Dare Johnson was in attendance representing -the engineering firm of <br /> B. -c, los. Shields, abutter, was also in attendance. <br /> Mr. Johnson¢ informed the Board that nine abu-tters were forwarded certi- <br /> fied letters h'ow'ever two abutters , lir, Gangemi and fir. Fill.urian, were seat <br /> back as undeliverable. Mr. Johnson explained that responses were received, <br /> as to the location of their well , from four abutters, Mr. Johnson stated <br /> than Mr. 'Haay proposes two additions -to the existing dwelling, one to the <br /> rear and one to the side and the existing system is a cesspool which is func- <br /> tioning however proposes to install a septic tank it two leaching trenches <br /> which is to be installed in the sane location. <br /> Mr. Johnson stated the well on the abutting lot to the south cannot be <br /> located and were unable to reach the owner of the abutting lot to the north. <br /> Mr. costa voice his concerns as to the locations of the wells on lots <br /> and the 50 foot distance from the leaching facility to the well , <br /> Mr. Johnson explained to the Board that the proposed septic system would <br /> e installed in the enact location as the present system. <br /> Mr. Greelish commented that dine to the size of the lot any additions <br /> would be detrimental to the neighborhood. <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed Mr. Johnson that approval from D.F.Q.E, would be <br /> required and their policy would allow the Title V system however any additions <br /> would be prohibited. <br /> Ms. Shields stated she is unable to 'locate her well and voiced her on- <br /> cern as to the possible close proximity of the -proposed 'system to her well . <br />
