4 <br /> *pt MINUTES [larch 6, 1989 3 BOARD of HEALTH <br /> Mr. Greelish motioned to deny the variance request, 1r* Wilson seconded, <br /> all agreed, <br /> APPOINTMENT: Down Cape Eng. - Variance request, Lally/Lovejoy, 282 Cranberry <br /> Avenue <br /> Mr. Al Robertti representing Down Cape Eng. was in attendance for this <br /> Variancerequest. Abutters . s. Barbara Singer and Mr. & Mrs.- K i l ty were also <br /> in attendance. <br /> Mr. Roberti informed the Board that the owners propose to construct a <br /> three bedroom dwelling with a subsurface septic system, consisting of a 10 <br /> g ilon septic tank, D-Box and -' ' pit. He stated a retaining wall is also <br /> proposed in order -to meet the break-out. Mr, Roberti explained to the Board <br /> that Variances requested are distance from well to septic, septic system -to <br /> water course- and decrease in the size f the pit. <br /> Mr. Mc uaid stated he is in receipt of a letter from abutters of 41 <br /> Cranberry Avenue dated February' 1 , 1989 which states their opposition to <br /> the variance . request. <br /> Mr. Kilty voiced his concern with the location of the proposed septic <br /> system to his well . <br /> Mr, Roberti stated the proposed well and septic are not in conformity <br /> with the neighborhood layout. <br /> Mr. Roberti stated he would like to revise plans submitted and requested <br /> a continuance of this variance request. <br /> Abutters present requested they be notf i ed of the continuance date. The <br /> Board was in agreeane. <br /> Mr. Costa stated this variance request will be continued until such time <br /> as the engineer has prepared reprised plans. <br /> 1 . Variance request - Cape & Islands for Craft, 4B Popponessst Isl . Rd. <br /> Mr. john Slavinsly was in attendance representing this Variance request. <br /> Mr. Slavinsy stated all abutters are receiving Highwood Mater. He in- <br /> formed the Board the existing system is a cesspool which changes elevation twice <br /> day due to the tides. fir. S1 av i nsky stated Mr. Draft i s propos i ng to construct <br /> an addition above -theexisting dwelling and due to -the shape of :the lot the sys- <br /> tem will be pumped.up '.the driveway to di ffussor's an"d a bull-run v'a l ve. He <br /> stated the variance requested is to omit the leach pit and explained uponom- <br /> letion of the addition there will be five bedrooms <br /> r <br /> f. <br /> Mr. Gree Iish motioned- to grant -the variance from conventional leaching <br /> Pit to diffussors with the stipulation the optional holding tank and bull-runt <br /> -val ed be i nsta l ied and upon approval from the on. ervatio . ommi ss i on, Mr. <br /> Wilson seconded, all agreed. <br />
