MINUTES May 253 1989 51s BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> t r r <br /> r +► <br /> . uaid es ionedMr.- Virgilio � ' ' i <br /> � to whether 'thisoffice could <br /> utilize the. waste oil tank at the D.P.W. for residents who question how <br /> to dispose of their oil . <br /> Mr. Virgilio responded yes, as long a , an employee of the D.P.W. is <br /> notified and present when the oil is disposed of. <br /> Mr. Greelish stated if the oil collection <br /> site is not ready he would <br /> like -to store an oil drum, with a 55 gallon limit, within the existing of l <br /> collection site at the landfill <br /> Mr. Virgilio was in agreeance however suggested assurances are made <br /> that the oil and water is separated. <br /> Mr. Virgilio informed the Board that over the weekend someone disposed <br /> of a bag of powdered battery acid and explained that the back end loader at <br /> this time was back filling and ran over the bag which exploded and a person <br /> in the area received burns and his car was damaged. Mr. Virgilio commented <br /> that accidents reports. were filed thru. proper-channels and the person who <br /> received the burns was treated and released from the hospital . <br /> Mr. Virgilio informed the Board that he has not r;e eiv d enough steel <br /> for six loads. <br /> Mr. Costa requested Mr. Virgilio to place the metal in the sae area <br /> as previously designated, <br /> Mr. Virgilio questioned the Board as to whether he may now accept tires. <br /> Mr. Costa stated this Board would lie to consult with Weston & Sampson <br /> prior to accepting tires at the landfill , <br /> . Virgilio informed the Board that the town did not receive the loo <br /> yards of fill from the .school and commented once the 3700 yards of fill was <br /> received a bill was forwarded for $7.50 per ,yard, <br /> Mr. Costa stated th'e fill is not to be moved until the problem has been <br /> rectified. <br /> 12. ) Copy of letter from Defeo, Wait to Egerton Deer. (Stratford Ponds r <br /> inspection of interim system - Mr. Costa commented he does not object <br /> to the pumping procedure however suggests a fee be charged to pump into <br /> the lagoons <br /> Board members were in a reeance. - <br /> r. McQuaid stated, if this Board. allows Stratford Ponds to pump-out <br /> their tanks, which will allow them more time, thi.- ou'l•dviolate con - <br /> ditions. stipulated in the special permit issued by the Planning Board. <br /> Mr. Costa commented developers of this project will be required to apply <br /> to the Planning Board for; an amendment to the special permit. <br /> Mr. Creelish stated this Board would take into consideration their re- <br /> quest once approval is obtained from the -Planning Board. <br /> op If 0- <br /> .1 <br /> # � <br /> * r 7L 1 <br /> IL <br />
