780 CMR: STATE BUILDING CODE C0MSSIO <br /> 4 <br /> SECTION 127.E 'CONSTRUCTION CTIO CONTROL <br /> 127.1 Responsibilities: The provisions of this section define <br /> the construction controls required for all 'structures needing <br /> registered professional architectural or engineering services, <br /> and delineate the responsibilities of such professional services <br /> together with hose services that are the responsibility of the <br /> contractor during construction. <br /> ` Exceptions <br /> .. Any building containing less than thirty-five thousand <br /> (35,000) cubic feet of enclosed space; <br /> 2. Any single or two-family house or any accessory building <br /> thereto; <br /> 3. Any building used for -farm purposes; and <br /> . Retaining walls less than ten 1 et height at all <br /> points along the wall as measured from the base of the <br /> footing to the top of the wall. <br /> 127.2 Professional architecture or engineering services. <br /> 127-2.1 Design: All plans, computations and specifications in- <br /> volving new construction, alterations, repairs, expansions or <br /> additions shall be prepared by or under the direct supervision <br /> of a registered professional architect or engineer and bear his <br /> signature and seal; said signature and seal shall signify that <br /> the plans, computations and specifications meet the applicable <br /> provisions of this code, all acceptable engineering practices and <br /> all applicable laws and ordinances. <br /> x 27,2.2 Architect/engineer inspectional responsibility: The reg- <br /> istered professional architect or engineer shall be responsible <br /> for the following: <br /> 1. Review of shop drawings, samples and other~ submittals of <br /> i the contractor as required by the construction contract <br /> documents as submitted for building perm, and approval <br /> for conformance to the design concept. <br /> -, <br /> 2. Review and approval of the quality control procedures for <br /> all code-required controlled materials. <br /> 3.
