F <br /> 780 CMR: STATE BUILDING CODE COMMISSION <br /> r <br /> The registered professional architect or engineer shall per- <br /> form the necessary professional services and be present on the <br /> construction site on a regular and periodic basis to determine <br /> } <br /> that, generally, the work is proceeding in accordance with the. <br /> documents approved for the building permit. <br /> 127.2.3 Reporting: The registered professional architect or <br /> engineer shall submit periodically, in a form acceptable to the <br /> building official, a progress report together with pertinent com- <br /> ments. At the completion of the construction, the registered <br /> professional. architect or engineer shall submit to the building <br /> official a report as to the satisfactory completion and the readi- <br /> ness of the project for occupancy (excepting any items not en- <br /> dangering such occupancy and listing pertinent deviations from <br /> the approved building permit documents). <br /> 127.3 construction contractor services: The actual construc- <br /> tion of the work shall be the responsibility of the general con <br /> tractor as identified on the approved building permit and shall <br /> involve the f ll mng <br /> 1. Execution of ail work in accordance with the approved con- <br /> struction documents. <br /> 2. Execution and control of all methods of construction in a <br /> safe and satisfactory manner in accordance with all appli- <br /> cable local, state, and federal statutes and regulations. <br /> 3. [upon completion of the construction, he shall certify to <br /> the best of his knowledge and belief that such has been <br /> done in substantial accord with items 1 and 2 above and <br /> with all pertinent deviations specifically noted. <br /> 127.4 special professional services: When applications for un- <br /> usual designs or magnitude of construction are filed, or where <br /> code reference standards and/or Appendix B require special <br /> architectural or engineering inspections, the building official <br /> may require full-time project representation by the registered <br /> professional architect or engineer in addition to that provided <br /> in section 127.2.2. The project representative shall keep daily <br /> records and submit reports as may be required by the .building <br /> official. Upon completion of the work, the registered profes- <br /> sional architect or engineer shall file a final report as required <br /> under section 127.2.3. <br /> 12'7. .1 Building permit requirement: This special professional <br /> service requirement shall be determined prior to the issuance of <br /> the building permit and shall be a requisite for the permit <br /> issuance. Refusal by the applicant to provide such service as <br /> required by the building official shall result in the denial of the <br /> permit.
