TOWN of MASHPEE <br /> BOARD of HEALTH <br /> i <br /> July 20, 1989 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: George R. Costa, Stephen J. Greelish and john T. Doherty <br /> THE TAPE I3 NOT PART of THE MEETING. IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE of TRANSCRIBING <br /> MINUTES. <br /> Mr. George R. Costa, Chairman <br /> 1 . Warrants signed <br /> . ) Mr. Doherty motioned to accept 'the minutes of July 13, 1989, Mr. Gree l i s h <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br /> 3. Signatures to modification of contract document - The Board forwarded <br /> their signatures to the modified contract document. (Mr. Doherty stepped <br /> down for the modified contract signing. ) <br /> 4.) Request from Superintendent of Shoo.i s to transport rubbish to Transfer <br /> Station - Mr. McQuaid informed the Board the school intends to transfer <br /> the rubbish via pick-up truck and e p l aped 807o of -the trash is paper goods <br /> the remaining 0% will come from the cafeteria. <br /> Mr. Greelisn suggested -this issue be kept on bold until he researches- <br /> the amount of paper goods to be discarded. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated the town would benefit from the school hauling to <br /> the landfill as it would be less expensive than firing a private hauler. <br /> Mr. McQuaid explained that the schools contract estimate has almost <br /> tripled compared to on', es allocated for last years rubbish removal . <br /> Mr. Gr ee l i sh reiterated his earlier comments stating he would like this <br /> isued to be kept on hold until he researches the amount of paper goods <br /> to be discarded. <br /> The Board was in agreeane <br /> S. Response from Fields Point re: Regional Treatment Plant - The- Board <br /> acknowledged the response. <br /> 6. Proposed contract from Thorne Clinic - Mr. McQuaid suggested tete Board <br /> review the contract for comment at the next regularly scheduled meeting. <br /> The Board was in agreean e. , , 1 F <br /> . Memo from D. .h. r ; Measls outbreak in Children ' s Camp - fir.
