MINUTES August 10, 1989 7 BOARD D of HEALTH <br /> i f <br /> Mr. Costa questioned Mr. Fudala as to whom would enforce the water stand- <br /> ands. <br /> M . Fudala responded the Planning Board and Building Inspector. <br /> Mr. Greeiish suggested Mr. Fudala develop an exceptions list of the <br /> tests he would like analyzed and locate a person who could determine <br /> the achievable test lines. <br /> Mr. Fudala suggested the Board of Health adopt a s imi 1 i r standard as <br /> it has more flexibility. <br /> Mr. Gree 11 s c o mented that the scope of the j ob 1 s the County, f or pr'o- <br /> je is this large. <br /> Mr. Costa suggested M . Fudula consult with Mr. Evans on any further <br /> information he may require. <br /> Mr. McQuaid suggested Mr. Fudala word the section of -the special permit <br /> for water monitoring as goals. to be reached and if the developers would <br /> agree to the monitoring then the Board of Health could could monitor the <br /> quality of the effluent,, once this Board and the Planning Board feel <br /> it needs serious attention then the mechanism is there. <br /> . Variance request, Corbett for Howe, 22 Elisabeth Island Road - Mr. <br /> McQuaid iriformn _d the Board the owner is requesting a variance from sep- <br /> tic <br /> ep- <br /> tic to well on i of ; rer i n i ng abutters are tied into High W d Water. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated if the Board approves this requested Variance -he would <br /> recommend the existing cesspool be pumped and filled with sand. Mr. <br /> McQuaid informed the Board the owner is requesting the variance in, order <br /> to upgrade the system to accomodate an addition. <br /> Mr . Doherty motioned to grant the Variance request with the stipulation <br /> the existing cesspool is located at which time the system will be pumped <br /> r and filled with sand, Mr. Greelish seconded, all agreed. <br /> . Revised septic plans, Eag1e fo,r Hostetter, Willowbend Clubhouse - Mr, <br /> M Qua.id 'e plained to the Board plans were previously approved the only <br /> revision is in the construction of the clubhouse, they could not bring <br /> the sewer lines f rom the restaurant out on the first level , instead it <br /> gust go to the basernent level , therefore it all must go thru the pump <br /> chamber and out to the leaching trenches. - Mr. McQuaid informed the <br /> Board plans were submitted to D.E. .E. for their review. <br /> Mr. Gree l i sh motioned to accept the revised 01an as presented - however <br /> it is to be noted this is a temporary system until such time as the <br /> treatment plant is operational , lair. Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> Note: The Board has requested restaurant plans to be submitted as <br /> soon as possible. <br /> . Emergency repair application, Ron Gam for Moue, 37 Com"pass Drive - <br /> Mr. Evans informed the Beard the system was inspected and found to-be <br /> in failure. <br />
