'_'Order" in which -to obtain D.E.P. <br /> approval for the water supply for the facility known n as "The Donut Box" , if <br /> approval if not re e.i ved within this time period a "Notice ice of oc aton" for <br /> this -retail food establishment will be issued, Mr. -Doherty seconded. fir. Costa <br /> informed -Mr. Cohen that monitoring by Health Agents at the facility wi 11 take <br /> place in order to ensure that bottled water is the sole source of pobiic water <br /> being supplied. <br /> APPOINTMENT: carol Jacobson - Seiectmen Liaison <br /> Ms. Jacobson was in attendance for this scheduled appointment <br /> Ms. Jacobson questioned the Board as to what concerns they may have re- <br /> garding <br /> e- <br /> grding town matters. <br /> [s. Jacobson questioned the Board as to the water situation at the <br /> Transfer Station. <br /> Mr. costa responded that the Committee has appointed Nor. Virgilio to <br /> oversee bid preparations, at this -time two bids have been received. <br /> Ms. Jacobson stated in theory the water department proposes water to <br /> be supplied at the site by January. fps. Jacobson questioned' as to whether <br /> a portable sanitary facility and a bottled water supplier would not surfice <br /> until such time as water is made available. <br /> Mr. MCQu id explained to Ms, Jacobson that he did forward a memo to the <br /> Selectmen's office which questioned the feasibility of pay-Ing for bottled <br /> water at the Transfer station out of the bottled water account and commented <br /> a reply has not been received. <br /> Ms. Jacobson informed Mrs, McQuaid she has not seen the memo. Ms. Jacobson <br /> questioned the Board as to the status of wood chips and composting. <br /> Mr. Costa informed Ms. Jacobson there is composting at the site however <br /> one problem is the -disposal of leaves at -the composting pile, we are now in <br /> the process of redesigning the ,composting pile 'Mr. costa stated the con- <br /> tractor is Permitted -to haul one load of- wood chips or brush a .-ay once a month <br /> at his expense and commented wood chips at the disposal .area are available to - <br /> the public a no charge. <br /> . McQuaid explained that the composting pile will remain where it is <br /> until such time as water is supplied which will keep the leaves wet. <br /> Ms. Jacobson informed the Board hours at the permit office have been <br /> changed to monday, tuesday, wednesday and friday 11 -00 - 1 :00 and saturdays <br /> 00 - 1 :00. s.. Jacobson recommended the Board considerbudgeting for per- <br /> sonnel at the permit office next ,year. <br />
