MINUTES Agugusrt 31 , 1989 3 BOARD OF HEALTH '. Pumping license application, Bortolotti Construction, Inc.. - Mr. McQuaid voiced his concern over the number of licensed pumpers within the town and commented appointments to dispose of their tanks will be necessary. Mr. Doherty motioned to issue a pumping license to the company known as Bort lotti Construction with the stipulation he is informed of the capacity limit at the lagoons, Mr. Costa seconded. Mr. Costa requested Mr. McQuaid to remind the gatekeeper at the landfill of the limit and notify licensed pumpers within the town that ap-pointments may be necessary. 9, Latest surface water sr apse report - F. *i . - Mr. McQuaid informed the Board that these tests were taken during a storm and due 'to road run-off etc. may have caused the high readings. Mr. McQuaid stated a re-sample was performed by himself on Monday. 10. Variance request, - Lot 1A Kim Path (McMenamy) - Mr. McQuaid informed the Board -the owner is requesting a 1000 gal-Ion leaching pit Variance due to anticipated ground water elevation although none was detected during pec. Mr. McQuaid stated the owner is also requesting a 41 pit instead of a 61 pit however two 00 -alien pits will be installed and all 'abutters. are receiving High lood Water Mr, Doherty motioned to grant the Variance as requested, Mr. Costa sec- onded. 1 . Proposal to add 1 pit to existing septic system to accomodate addition 155 S. Sandwich Rd. , Perry -- Mr. McQuaid informed the Board the owner is proposing an addition, (mini room) . He' -explained their4 is an e i tt- i ng p i t a second pit is proposed which will be i n excess of 100' feet from abutting wells. Mr. McQuaid commented this proposal is before the Board as -their is a Title V system in place now however it is the Board's determination as to whether an engineering plan will be required. Mr. Doherty motioned to permit the installation of a second pit without engineering plans however a Health Agent will be required to verify soil conditions at time of instailation and' to inspect for proper installation, Mr. Costa seconded. 12, ) Perc eXtension request, Smith , Lot 17 Bog River Run - Mr. McQuaid informed the Board -the lot was perked once in 1986 and again 1988 how- ever is the first extension request by the new owner. . M.r. Doherty motioned -to grant a six month extension from date of expira- tion, xpi a- tion, Mr. Costa seconded* 13. Board of Appeals agenda for 9/13/89 - The Board acknowledged receiving the agenda. 14. Recyciing program and pamphlet - Discussion - Mr. Costa requested Mr. McQuaid top ace this iters on the next regularly scheduled meeting agenda when Mr. Greelish will be in attendance.
